Ok, to be totally honest, I'm dreading this Thanksgiving meal, mainly because my family cooks very unhealthfully--greasy everything, loads of potatoes, pies--I'm sure you get the idea. Anyway, does anyone have any tips on avoiding these foods? Do you think it would be rude of me to bring some of my veggie meals (see some of them at the Turtle Island Foods site)? The only reason I can see it being rude is because 1) my grandmother cooks a separate meal for me since I don't eat meat (but it's sooo much food--tons of gravy, tons of potatoes--and I'm only one person), and 2) my relatives don't exactly welcome my veggie lifestyle (some actually believe it goes against Christianity ::rolls eyes::) and probably wouldn't even touch the stuff, leaving me with a buttload of food that'll probably go bad before I can eat it all.
Any suggestions about my dilemma or anything related to Thanksgiving? Thanks! :)
