okay, since i'm doing things the old-fashioned way.. here are my new thin&healthy type goals:
1. make tea instead of having dessert. i've got 8 million varieties of tea and they're all delicious! wait at least 10 minutes after having dinner and if i want something else, savour a nice cuppa tea.
2. eat only at the table, and just pay attention to the food. listen to the radio or whatever if i want, but that's it. if i feel satisfied, stop eating, even if the food's not all gone. (make sure to set out a reasonable amount to begin with.)
3. half an hour maximum for a meal! sometimes i've been known to sit around munching for an hour and a half at a time.. i don't want to spend that kind of time on eating! not to mention eating that much. ugh!
4. don't stock offenders!! which, for me, means sweet things, peanut butter, and bread. instead, keep a lot of fruit and vegetables around, and juice.
5. if i start to feel restless and out of control when near food, and as if i might start bingeing (or keep bingeing), GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN AND DO SOMETHING ELSE. anything else. lie on the floor, even. just don't let it happen.
