: Stuck in the Snow
SO!
I got up to go to work today (had to be there at 6) and because I live out here in No Man's Land (I'm fairly certain I've seen one Stark County Sheriff's car once since I've been here at Beech Hill), the roads aren't plowed. I thought "Well, I have to be at work!" So I gave the car a strong go.
Forty-five minutes later, I'm calling Bob and telling him that I have no idea when I'll be in, but it will have to be after the roads are plowed up here. Which, honestly, could be as late at 1:00 PM. Right now, my car is half in the drive-way, half in the gravely area in front of the apartments and I'm worried I'm blocking the neighbors, but where the fuck are they gonna go? Surely, they'll understand.
I'm not sure if I called off or not. I think I kinda did, but I didn't really want to. I really could use the money. Next week's pay check has to go to two bills and I'm looking at losing out on a potential $80-90 by missing today. But let's be honest here -- what can I do? There's no getting out, not for a while at least. Which, yeah, really sucks a lot.
Argh.
It just keeps coming down. I mean, it's pouring down snow. If it would just stop snowing and the sun would come out for, like, an hour, even that would help. In the meantime, I'm just stuck here.
I went ahead and put my pajamas back on and put a big pot of coffee on.
