I saw Mary Poppins the stage show last night.
It was a really good show, and I enjoyed it.
With that said, I was disappointed that it really wasn't the movie. Some scenes were totally missing, "I Love To Laugh" with Uncle Albert, the great Ed Wynn. Cleaning the nursery. The dancing penguins.
Songs were either missing or very much altered. I am not competely sure any of the songs were taken word for word from the movie.
The mother was not a suffragette, she was a former actress. They brought in the evil nanny from the dad's childhood.
The play was almost a complete overhaul of the movie.
I will be honest and say as much as I enjoyed the show, I was disappointed at how much of the show they changed from the movie.

I had a blonde moment around 3 am this morning. :p
I was thinking, it's time to make out a couple of bills to get in the mail. So I wrote the checks threw on some stamps and hopped in the car for the post office.
As I turned onto the street the post office is on, I realized, Hey dummy, it Labor Day, the post office is closed today. :p
Oh well they are in the mail box waiting to be picked up tomorrow morning now. lol...............
