Here is your horoscope
for Friday, April 25:

Speak up -- out off turn, if need be -- to let people know what's really going on. You can see much more clearly than quite a few of them and should also be able to convince them you're right.

This would have been good for Thursday and jury duty. LOL..........................

Here is your horoscope
for Saturday, April 26:

You get a bump from a friend who's got power you didn't know about. It might be something small, but it could just as easily lead to a promotion or something else of serious value.

I wonder who that could be? :o

Jury Duty.......... [26 Apr 2008|07:50am]
I was called in on Wednesday for a jury selection process. It was for a case involving a man who was accused of giving a false name to the police at a traffic stop and then fleeing them in his car.
I was one of the 13 selected for the jury. :) Kind of a lame case, but it was my first time and it was interesting going through the whole process.
The trial didn't start until Thursday. The only witnesses called were the three police officers involved with the case.
To be perfectly honest, I think the prosecution and the defense did a pretty lousy job. There was missing evidence on the polices behalf. It was brought up that the defendant had an outstanding arrest warrant for a parole violation. No objection from his attorney for being irrevalant to this case. He had gotten away from the police that night, but we never heard where he was eventually arrested and if he was found that easy for that why didn't they find him for his parole violation??? Two of the police officers failed to notice another police car at the scene.
The first jury vote was like many old sitcoms you see, everyone voted guilty but one person.
Can anybody guess who voted not guilty?????
I eventually after some discussions was able to vote guilty using the definition of reasonable doubt. I could say guilty, but still have some doubts about it.
I am not going to hold my breath that I will get called in again before the end of next week, but I will cross my fingers that I will get another chance.
Once they call you out and you sit in that jury box, it really does put a whole different look on things.

So how was your week? :p
