Saturday night I went to a Halloween party being thrown by one of my coworkers. I know I complain about most of my coworkers, but she is one of the few I really do enjoy working with.
Originally I was planning on going as a Little Lord Fontleroy type kid. Dressy shorts, knee high socks, dress shirt, little black tie, and a big lollipop. Cute but nothing special. Then one night it just kind of struck me to go as Britney Spears. Could I possibly look any worse as her than she does herself? I decided to try and dress like she was in her Hit Me Baby One More Time video, like the little Catholic school girl. I had a plaid skirt made up, found some white thigh high stocking, white shirt, blonde wig with pig tails, and some high heels. I was thinking I was going to be Britney hitting rock bottom. Actually, I didn't look all that horrible. If I do say so myself. :p When I got to the party I was so glad that most of it was either in the garage or in the house, because Halloween in Minnesota is not always a good thing. Especially if you are wearing a skirt. The temps were in the 30s or maybe low 40s. Chilly...... They held a costume contest, and thanks to having a few coworkers there, Britney WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think it hurt that I laid on the guilt that I actually shaved my legs, chest, and belly. lol....... I got several comments on how good my nail polish was, and I had at least three ladies ask me how many times I had to reapply my lipstick. I just smiled and said I didn't. Just the one time. Of course I wasn't eating anything, and I didn't really drink much. And it was only water. No drinking and driving for me. :p That's not saying the boose wasn't flowing. People were having a good time. Thankfully nobody was a bad drunk though. I can enjoy drunks as long as they are happy ones. Later in the night this one guy, who is a good friend of my coworkers husband, came up to me and put his arm around my shoulders and talked for a minute, then he leaned over and ran his hand down my leg. He said, I am sorry, but I have wanted to do that all night. I just laughed. A little later my friend, whose party it was, apologized for him, and I told her not to worry about it. It was just all in good fun. I don't know if she heard her husband ask me to go make out with him. I guess he REALLY likes Britney. lol... I told a lady standing next to me, He probably won't ask me if he knew I was gay. :p She was like, Oh he wouldn't mind. He's very open. Or something like that. She was drunk, and I just laughed. :p I actually stayed at the party until 5 am. There were still a few very drunk people there yet. I went out to my car, talk about cold, and there was frost to scrape. UGH... Of course I hadn't put a scraper in my car yet so I dragged out my insurance card and started scraping the front window. I got in the car, sat on the COLD leather seat and headed for home.
I opened my email tonight and had a message from the lady directing The Nutcracker that I am doing this year again, and I had totally spaced out that we had our first rehearsal Saturday afternoon. I had my mind so wrapped up in the Halloween party and making my costume that I completely forgot about the rehearsal. UGH... Not a good way to start things. :( Well, I have a majorly stupid meeting to go to this morning for work. I can't wait. I am off work Wednesday night. I am trying to decide if I will run up to Minneapolis for Halloween. Maybe see a friend. Not sure if there will be any real Halloween stuff going on, or if they did it all over the weekend. So I hope you all had a good weekend. Take care........
