Sunday night I saw Dolly Parton in concert.
It was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, I was exhausted by the time the concert had started. I tried to sleep that morning, and only got about 4 hours. I had rehearsal that afternoon, so I couldn't get a nap in. I had one of those overly tired headaches for most of the day. Yippy.....
Dolly Parton was fantastic. She looked great and sounded great. Hard to believe she is in her 50s. Surgery does wonderful things, but at least she admits to it. lol... She was on for an hour and a half and sang about 20 songs. She talked and joked a lot in between. At one point she pointed out a guy in the 3rd row that had binoculars. She had a field day with him. She said "they" usually make it out to the 5th row. Later she apologized for having trouble with some hair in her face. She said she should just pull it out. It wouldn't hurt her, but she knows some woman over in Korea would be hollering. lol... Hmm, are there blonde women in Korea? lol...
I over heard someone say that their friend tried to get a ticket but it was sold out. If that was a sold out concert, it was the most pitiful sold out concert I have ever been too. I would guess that at least 1/3 of all the seats were empty. There was a strict no camera policy. ARGH... I was in the 11th row on the floor. I could have gotten some really nice pictures. They said anyone caught taking pictures would be thrown out of the concert.
I don't want to critisize people, but most of the people around me must not have been to many if any concerts. They were having a fit that Dolly didn't come right out at 7:30. Well let's see, there is an opening act, which is followed by an intermission. I don't mean to stereotype, but these six hot "frat" type guys came in together. Hmm, can you say gay? Six hot guys going to a Dolly Parton concert together, and not being dragged there by girls. Sounds gay to me.
Okay, let's just admit it, I was jealous not being a part of their group. LOL....... Yummy.....
Let's see, did I do anything else this weekend? I did manage to burn a couple of more dvds for my friend Derek. He is going to be totally shocked when I finally get things in the mail. I swear it will happen.
