An LJ friend tells me that her son said that information about Pat Robertson is a joke. Sadly, even if it is a joke, I am willing to bet that Pat is wishing he had said it.

Well, here are a couple of quotes from former first lady Barbara Bush. These can certainly make you understand her son a little better.
On the eve of the Iraq invasion: "Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? It's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"
About the Hurricane Katrina refugees in the Houston Astrodome: "So many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underpriviledged anyway, so this-- this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."
These quotes were printed in our local newspaper and the article comes from Rick Mercier, a writer and editor for The Free Lance-Star in Fredericksburg, Va.
I want to know what happened to grandmotherly figure that so many people loved?
