I was Mr. Greenjeans this past weekend.
I went to a local Farmer's Market and bought some pixie lily plants. Okay, I was kind of copying "thirteenrocks" my friend from LJ. I went with him to a fund raiser sale for Paws and Claws after work, and then we ran over to the Farmer's Market. Kevin bought some of the lily plants. He got some that were a really cool red/orange color. After taking them to his house I ran out to Best Buy. I was trying to talk myself into buying this "nostalgic" looking record player. After looking around for awhile, I talked myself out of it, and decided to run back over to the Farmer's Market to get some of those lilies myself. Unfortunately, when I got there they were out of the cool red/orange colored ones so I bought some of the regular orange colored ones. I got 6 potted plants (three stems in each) for $18. Wow, talk about good price. All the plants were covered with blossoms so very soon we should have a beautiful orange line up in our flower bed in front of the house. The guy that sold them said they might have some of the other color next weekend. Hmm, should I go back? I love flowers, but I don't always have the greenest of thumbs. lol...
