I worked at the theater Friday and Saturday night. I am the resident refreshment guy. However I learned that cupcakes don't go over very well. lol... I made 4 dozen cupcakes and over the two nights I think they ate maybe 1 dozen. So much for the cupcakes. The punch and the Halloween size candy bars seem to be the biggest successes.
Sunday I went to see the show Blast up in St. Paul at the Ordway. It was great. I was only three rows back from the stage. If you get a chance to see it you should. These young people do an amazing job. So much energy. I describe it as football halftime show meets Broadway. Here is the web site. http://www.blasttheshow.com/blast.html
Today I begin another season of Touch Continuum shows. It is my 7th season of doing these shows. It is a great cause, but I wish they could find some more actors to help do the shows. If you aren't familiar with Touch it is a program that does shows for 2nd and 5th graders that teaches about good touches and bad touches. Rochester, Mn. has the longest running program in the country, and it was originated in Minneapolis at the Illusion Theater. If it isn't a part of your local school programs it should be.
