| 9:03 am | Dual Coastal Lovin well, I'm back from California, bright and early. My flight left at 9pm California time (thats midnight here on the east coast) and landed at 5:15am (east coast time), an hour early. I'm really tired but I'm going to stay awake until tonight so I can get readjusted to this time. Oh man, I have to wake up at 5:00 tomorrow. that's like 2am, since I'm still in west coast time. Anyway, on to the difficult task of summarizing my trip. I'll just say it was awesome and then make a list about things about California. In California: *highways are gigantic. I'm talking 7+ lanes. *people like to drive fast, but there's a lot of traffic so that they can't *everything comes with avacado *there are a lot of hot girls *everything is crowded *there are a lot of hills with enormous amounts of housing on one cliff-face *most things are more expensive, however *PAC-SUN has reasonable prices, like better than here *the water is gorgeous, and waves are gigantic *the weather is alwasy nice, aside from a few clouds in the morning *everyone is more laid back, which is good, since they are all slow (at eating, looking at exhibits, etc...) *there are a lot of really cool things to see, but *you always have to pay for parking *there are no coconuts on the palm trees (sorry) *the only coffee chain is Starbucks (no dunkin' donuts) *People are more polite *there is a LOT of traffic all the time (did I already say that?) *there are tons of flowering plants everywhere, even though it rarely rains *there are a lot of hispanic people *there are a lot of tourist attractions *there are many different animals *no one is on an atkins diet *there is KROQ, which is a pretty cool radio station most of the time *there are a lot more good concerts, all the time *you can see seals and other sea animals in the wild *I miss a lot of people *I miss one person a whole lot *no one seems to work at all, but they are all rich *the scenery is so spectacular it is breathtaking *the sun sets over the ocean I think that's it, at least for now. It was an amazing trip, and I would definetly go again, although maybe I would stay at another hotel. Anyway, now I'm home and I go back to school in a couple weeks. Kind of depressing, but kind of exciting. Anyway, I'm home now, so call me and we'll go have us a havoc spreading fun time. | 2:25 am | a good start... today was really good. i worked 530 to 10. and it was positively magnificent in its perfection. i loved it. i wish i did more this summer. i havent had this good a time at work in a long time. next, i came home and just lounged for a few hours until michaela came over. we watched some movies and hung out until we went to the mall at 7. it was fun. next came the highlight of my day today: card night at adams. It was a good time. I started out doing pretty badly. I bought five dollars in chips, and had to buy five more. I had nothing at all for about an hour and a half. no pairs, no nothing. Thone, on my second five dollars of chips i decidde to just give it up and go all out with my last few dollars, even though i had a hand that was lacking in fortitude. When the last card was dealt, i found i had won back more than i had spent to get the chips. For the next hour and a half luck seemed to be on my side. I won almost every hand, and i got a lot of money. I was playing scrabble when jeremy decided that it would be fun to go for a 100 dollar high card draw. even worse, he drew second, and the first card drawn was an ace. He lost so much money tonight. ON top of the hundred he lost all the money he put in. I felt so bad for him. Overall, today was an excellent day. An great start to a week which promises to be good (warped tour and leaving for california). Considering how bad last week was, this is just what I needed. If this week continues to eb as good as today was, I might just have to stop posting depressing journal entries altogether. My mood has turned completely around from yesterday, though i still stand by my claim that my friends all suck major cock. there are still only 3 (maybe 4) that i actually still like. And for the record, adam, you were one of the three yesterday that i didnt hate... So, in conclusion, my friends still suck anal fluids, except for adam and michaela and a couple others, today was great, i actually like morning shifts at work, michaela is wicked fun to hang out with (but i already knew that), this week is starting out great, i made about 20 dollars in tips today plus 25 at poker (a total of 45 dollars, plus my salary for the hours on top of that), i cant wait for warped on thursday adn california on saturday, jeremy lost a whole lot of money and i feel bad, and i havent slept in alost a day, yet im not tired. aanyway, ive been awake for almost 24 hours and i can just read my words making less and less sense. | 10:47 pm | my head hurts so I'm going to start putting down a review of my cds for the week. i'll put down ones that i felt were decent enough to review, with some comments. this week, however, they all suck. so heres a list, and why they suck: public displays of affection-so slow and melodically inane that it literally makes my brain begin to have an aneurysm cari clara-see above the matthew show-aside from its terrible name, the horrid lyrics, vocals, and instrumentals make me wonder why anyone would even bother to make this into a cd. kings of convenience-another slow boring trip through slit-my-wrists-ville the muffs-probably the best cd i reviewed this week. but thats not saying much. the womans voice sounds like a monkey making love to a cat. other then that, its not half bad. and if you like monkey-cat sex, maybe you'll like it. jimmy vigilant-terrible name, terrible songs. goldenboy-yet another of those droning, rhythmically inept slogs through the depths of a human soul. a very sad and pathetic human soul. interpol-just bad. good thing i'm going to six flags tomorrow, or else i might just have to let this disaster of a music week infest my soul and cloud my vision with blackness. this weekend i got an mp3 player (which i filed with decent music), and a dvd player, and i saw manchurian candidate with lisa and went bowling. both things were good, i hurt my hand bowling. | 10:57 am | Haha, i love being a member of an online quizzes comunity. it wastes so much of my time. anyway, saw anchorman the other night. it was pretty bad. also, im prob. getting press passes to warped this year. adn if i havent told you: if youre going to the august 19th show, come by my house first and walk there (no parking fees). today im cleaning my house. its a boring day. i had this freaky ass dream last night that left me awake at 4am shaking. it was that bad. | 3:55 pm | looks like another shitty ass week. well, its monday, and ive almost given up on this week already. every one of my friends is wicked busy all week (like the past 3 weeks) and it looks like im just gonna end up sitting around here whenever im not working. i fuckin hate this summer. it sucks even more cause its prob. the last summer im not gonna be workin 8 hours every day. im wicked depressed and i need to see some of my "friends" (the quotes are cause i never see most of them at all anymore) this week, or else i might just lose my mind. if i end up not doing anything by friday i might just give up and schedule myself to work every day adn tell everyone to bite my shiny metal ass. they can only do stuff when im busy anyway, so if im always busy, at least they'll want to see me, right? aw, fuck it all. | 10:32 am | workin it so majorly today is my only day off for the rest of all eternity (or at least since last monday until next tuesday)! I'm going to best buy and then to daniel's birthday party. then hanging with the gf. should be a day and a half of funny fun fun. anyway, this week, i hung out with the double mikes and saw i, robot, and i also worked a lot...and then some more. so its been a fairly uneventful week. i kinda almost want school to start again (hopefully i have housing). | 3:11 pm | back again im back from new hampshire. the weather kinda sucked, cloudy all week and kinda cold with some showers. the house we stayed in was right on the lake, so i wanted to swim more than i did. but canoeing was wicked pissah. haha, i said wicked pissah. anyway, it was a fun time. we went to the polar caves one day, and other than that just kinda hung around the area. on wed. adam and matt came down (they were staying farther north), which was so fun. i wish they had come for the whole week. michaela came with us, but my mom kept a close eye on us...(haha). on the way home yesterday my moms car broke again so it was a day out in the sun and in the car. it sucked sooooo bad, and i still have a headache the size of arkansas. dont yet know what im up to for the week. today im just hangin around the house cause my head hurts and im tired. i have cds to listen to also. i have to go to the radio station either tomorrow or tuesdya, and then wednesday or friday. i wanna see mike, mike, lizz, and a few other people. maybe i will. oh, and i want to go berry picking, cause thats the shiznit (plus ive been in new hampshire for a week, i need to do some sort of farming activity). oh yeah, i got the best smelling soap ever while i was in NH. it smells like almonds. so good! im gonna go back to my day of nothing while i recover myself from vacation. call me if you wanna do something this week. | 10:45 pm | I havent updated in a week (other than the stupid tests) its been a long week. pretty decent, but long. saturday through monday sucked. i didnt get my car back until wednesday night. but i went to the radio station with adam on tuesday, and that was fun. on wed. i saw mmichaela for the first time in weeks, and today i went out with mike to do some apartment searching, and then went to a movie. its been a rather uneventful week, but its been ok. anyway, im off to NH on saturday morning. ill try to update before then, but if i dont, have a good week.
