Global Exit played their first gig yesterday...

Another band was meant to do soundcheck but they didnt... so we did because we were the first band with a "Real" setup... We played Californication off the top of our heads... We got a reasonably good response from the few people who were there... (Mainly musos themselves)... I was commented about my guitar by a "real" punk bassist the band after us "Insane dream" were kinda like "buddies" with us... we all shook hands with them afterwards... It was good...

Before the show I was drinking lots of water so as not to clog up my vocal chords with sugary sticky saliva... That proved to be a bad idea... I ended up pissing all night... and drinking all night afterwards so as not to get dehydrated because of all the pissing... It was a cycle only breakable by sleep...

Anwyays

WE started off by playing Californication... I stuffed up a bit in that, but its alright played 2 orignals after that and then played Nothing Else Matters... We got a HUUUUGE POP after that song...

Then a few originals... WE ended up being spontaneous at the end of Water Filled Ice and yeah... That was cool...

Highlights: Experience of playing infront of a crowd...
Lowlights: Stupid death metal band... only 5 wankers actually liking their music...
: losing $200 because we played 75% original music infront of a huge crowd when the winners "Insane Dream" won with 80%-90% cover when the requirements asked for 75% original music...

Its experience...

We will be playing in Millicent in 1 weeks time...

I intend to talk mroe to the crowd...
