Global Exit Over the last few days, I have been going to play music with some dudes who are friends of my brothers at my guitarists house... (NO names otherwise Ill be hung drawn and quartered)
We recorded a song on thursday night so we could burn it to CD and hand up for a competition we wish to enter. We also took some pics of a backdrop we made and a few of us Jamming full tilt in a residential neighbour hood garage at 9:30, but we had a deadline to get this done by friday and there was NO WAY possble to get it done by friday after school because entries closed pretty much after school...
We ended up covering Nothing Else Matters by Metallica with me singing and playing bass. On the CD we also included a song written by our guitarist as an example of stuff we can do that is original because theyre after around 70% original content... So yeah thursday night was good.
Saturday we went around to the guitarists house again and we were stuffed for waht to play... we had no Idea what to do. I was both bored and pissed off so I plugged my 1971 Ibanez Beast into guitarists Crybaby pedal and just started playing really high notes... I stopped and looked up because I was pretty intense, both guitar and drummers jaws were on the floor...
Guitarist: "Tell me that was original!?!?!?"
Me: "Uh, I was just sorta doodling"
Guitarist: "We could use that!"
We ended up recording a song that I guess we could add lyrics to... Its kinda like Parallel Universe by Red Hot Chili Peppers meets Orion by Metallica but I would like it to have lyrics... I think we took like 5 takes to get it right... each time we were just playing along and then Id look over at the recording deck and each time It would cut out recording at 0:5:30:10 so Guitarist and I just decided to nut out a half structure of what could happen and we played... we got drummer to watch what was happening time wise and he would yell out stuff like "Bridge" so we could end it by the time the song would end...
Id like to hear it with drums in...
Our bands name by the way... is...
