subject line in honor of bea arthur.
today was my first free saturday in a month. and it was awesome.
slept until noon. always a good thing.
darren needs sandals so we headed off to midway. payless and foot locker are right next to each other so we figured he'd have plenty of options. wrong! payless has crappy men's sandals and foot locker has none at all. so he is still sandal-less. however, they still had two or three stacks of boxes that were left from the clearance they were having like 5 weeks ago. darren needed regular shoes at the time and he found some on clearance. i also found some and lusted after them, but didn't purchase them for money-saving purposes.
you know where this is going. they still had a pair of said shoes in my size and now they are mine. it was obviously meant to be.
we went to game stop afterwards and bought house of the dead: overkill for the wii.
then we went to the great clips on grand to take advantage of the haircut sale that's going on right now. got some delicious caramel coolers at the caribou next door, got our hairs cut, then came home and spent most of the afternoon killing zombies.
also, i'm crocheting a sweater. i've gotten that good. jealous? you should all look forward to homemade christmas presents this year. i anticipate finishing the sweater tomorrow.
looking forward to the ol' birthday on friday. after work i'm going to happy hour at rock bottom (you're all welcome to join. their HH deals are awesome). katherine is graduating so we're having a joint celebration. darren is meeting me downtown after work, then kyle and jenna are coming later and the four of us are going to dinner at the melting pot.
saturday i'm making darren go to first ave with me to see cloud cult.
sunday i gots no plans.
best birthday weekend evar! i'm excited.
okay. back to the sweater and my sweet, sweet doogie howser.
