despite bad attitudes, darren and i headed off to irish fest last night. we met up with my kate and stephanie and i cheered right up. darren's mood improved once the music started. there's nothing like irishmen screaming punk to wipe away the blues. flogging molly is teh awesomez.
apparently the pequots are going to ireland in about a year and a half? that's pretty sweet. step one: d and i need to get out of this 'bad finances' hole that we're in at the moment. as previously mentioned, that should start getting taken care of within the next few weeks, although nco (the company that d was supposed to start working for last week) doesn't know exactly when their next training class is going to be. it sucks, but as long as i'm making enough money to get my bills paid (which i am), we'll manage, and just have a social life limited to free things. step two: start saving!
i was just researching other potential future vacations. thanks to the wonder that is hotwire.com, i discovered that we could go to an all-inclusive resort in cancun for a week for just over $1000 per person, including airfare. when this trip would happen... who knows. a long time from now. still, it's nice to dream.
in other news, i have an interview tomorrow for an admin assistant position with the hennepin theatre district/state theatre. it sounds like a great job with pretty much the greatest organization ever. cross your fingers for me. i would love nothing more than to get away from the horrors that i currently have to deal with five days a week.
that's all i've got. i think i'll go for a bike ride before rehearsal tonight. although it might have to wait until after the twins get done winning. it's only the bottom of the fifth.
