i love the farmer's market. darren had never gone bfore so i drug him down there this morning and he is now a believer. we got mixed lettuce, spinach, red potatoes, sweet peas, a big ol' loaf of foccacia bread, tomatoes, fresh garlic, some delicious beef jerky, clover honey, and i found a lily plant. awesome.
had a date with kate yesterday. i finally got to experience the french toast at pizza luce and had more success at target. i enjoy the silly, small thrill of buying sponges and tupperware. and i purchased darren a goatee trimmre as an early birthday present, and now i can see more of his face than i ever have outside of photographs.
oh, summer. i love it because i actually feel motivated to go out and do things. that plus there's just more stuff there for the going out and doing. we could walk from pizza luce to target yesterday. while we could do that in winter just fine, i would rather sweat a little than feel like my face is going to freeze off halfway to our destination.
darren wasn't home when i got back yesterday afternoon. he called from his friend beau's house and asked if i wasted to go see batman. um, yes. so i met him at the mall, we ate some food, and went to the movie. as it was starting he turns to me and says "so, beau and i saw this earlier today. it was awesome." bastard.
i just gave lucy some catnip and she fell asleep.

also, i bought david sedaris' new book yesterday, which i am halfway through and love. of course.
so, um, you should read it.
