on our way back from pequot (we ended up leaving on sunday), i called kyle to make birthday plans for saturday. we ended up having an amusing conversation about our parents' failure to communicate. failure to communicate with us, that is. let me just make a list...
i didn't know oliver ran off to die until kyle told me (he was still living there at the time).
i didn't know they had put zena to sleep until i was about to walk in the door. then mom told me.
tyler is the one whol told both me and kyle that mom and dad are selling the house and moving to wyoming (still haven't sold the house, in case you were wondering).
i didn't know the new cat jack apparently ran away. kyle told me that one.
vehicles are kind of a big deal in my family. kyle called mom not long ago and he told her everything that was going on with him, down to a haircut. mom just said her usual "nothing new here." but while i was there i discovered that mom is selling her truck and they traded in the blue chevy for a big ol' diesel something-or-other (great timing there), which they'll really only use when they go to wyoming once a year. and mom is using cody's old truck for daily travel purposes.
i learned about my uncle's snowmobile accident from reading kyle's blog, something like two weeks after it happened. you know, the accident that almost cost him his leg.
mom may or may not have been the one to tell me she had cancer.
...that's all i have for now. i hope that's all there is. my family is so much awesome.
