moving sucks. this isn't news.
highlight: yesterday darren and i bought a bed (metal frame, box spring, mattress) for $100 from the girlfriend of one of his friends. it's almost new, she only used it for 6 months and then had it in storage. the higlight was haphazardly strapping it to the top of a van and driving it from apple valley to farmington and back to st. paul. definitely took robert street all the way, going no more than 50 mph. it was awkward. but now we have a bigger bed and are totally going to buy a pillow top for it.
we're not done yet but made a lot of progress. we got both of our couches in, so the only big things we have left are dressers and a desk. then it's just little stuff. the bathroom is completely unpacked, so you know. one room down, 3 to go.
the cat seems okay, but she's there alone today, so we'll see if i arrive home to a destroyed apartment. totally had to spend last night just me and her, which sucked a little bit but whatever.
i would really like to not be at work today.
also, i left my ipod in the van (which i realized while showering last night. i immediately jumed out of the shower, called darren and said "get my ipod out of your dad's van and put it in your coat pocket right now, so you remember it tomorrow," and then promptly returned to the shower) and not having it makes the commute really... boring.
tonight hopefully there will be dressers.
