darren: um, hi. i... have some news.
me: oh?
darren: i'm pretty sure i broke my toe.
me: you broke your toe. what'd you do?
darren: i was helping my mom clean a house and i was running across the kitchen and slipped and kicked the table. she's taking me to the ER.
me: sorry, i shouldn't be laughing at you. i bet it hurts, huh buddy?
darren: april fools.
me: douchebag.

me: law office, how can i help you?
client: uh, yeah, i got these forms from you guys and i was just wondering if i need to put the date on them.
me: the forms with the flags on them that say "do not date"?
client: yeah, but should i put today's date on them?
me: ...no.
(kayla and i get calls similar to this on a regular basis).
