today i had a conversation with a woman that went something like this:

"social security sent me this form to fill out and gave me an envelope to return it in, so i filled it out but now the mailman says he can't take it because there's no address. but it's already sealed. what should i do?"

"ma'am... there's no address?"

"he says there's no address on it, but it's already sealed inside."

"ma'am, it's not the form that needs the address on it, it's the envelope. just write the address on the front of the envelope and put it back in the mail."

...i need a beer.

an open letter ...and an aside [24 Sep 2007|08:55pm]
dear eric,

if you and josh weren't going as abraham lincoln and john wilkes booth or batman and robin for halloween, i would say you and i should be captain and tenille.

maybe you and josh should be captain and tennille.

truly,

katrina

(on a side note, i was reminscing and read this post and just want to say i love the way kyle signed his comment as "the other one in the womb." oh, and it's totally the vague part i was reminiscing about, by the way).

*edit: obviously what i need is a boyfriend purely for the sake of having someone to dress up with for halloween. while individual costumes are great (especially when you're as awesome at it as rob from cockeyed.com), couples have so much potential for hilarity with little to no effort. sir elton john and david furnish. senator craig and a bathroom stall. wayne and garth was a great idea. simone de beauvoir and jean-paul sartre? bill and hillary? siegfried and roy. roy and a tiger.

i don't need a boyfriend, i need anyone who likes awesomely lame costumes.
