answer: metro transit and not having my own laptop.
question: what are, respectively, the best and worst things that ever happened to me?
although, in regards to the latter, i had been waiting for a deposit to go through. now that it has, i can remedy this laptop situation. huzzah.
*edit: laptop ordered. thanks to my family for enough graduation gifts to be able to afford such a purchase. although i hope i get a job soon, otherwise... well, yeah. i also hope i'm home to recieve the package, because again... well, yeah. heh.
but the bus. oh, the bus. i've been all over the place in the last couple days. i'm on campus right now and was yesterday as well. earlier today i went to an interview, then went up to white rock to kill time before a second interview. while i was there, however, i got a call and said interview was rescheduled for thursday. dat's coo.
tomorrow is the second portion of trying to get this job with takeaction minnesota. it's an observation day, wherein i spend the day out on the job with the crew. i get to knock on doors and the director will judge me. at the end of the day, he'll decide whether or not he wants to hire me. if i end up being terrible at it, which i don't think i will, and don't get hired, it'll at least have been a learning experience. right? right.
i also love concordia's library.
and, well, i graduated. it's weird how three days later i came back to campus and saw it through different eyes. maybe it's just because there's nobody here. or maybe it's because, even though i still have two credits left to complete and thus am still technically a student, i feel like i've already let this place go. it's not mine anymore. which sounds like me saying "yeah, i owned this place" (which, i mean, i totally did). graduation was both beautiful and boring. the choir was amazing and i'm so glad i got to walk past them after receiving my diploma cover, because right there below me was a huge group of my favorite people. kate! anna! i tried to catch your eyes when both of you walked past me, but i don't think i succeeded. anyway. it was strange and fast and so busy.
but now i'm moved in and getting settled, and working on this job thing and hopefully soon i'll have a set schedule for the summer so i'll know when i can do the internship stuff as well. which, by the way, is going to be fun. life is a series of journeys all rolled into one, and i like it.
in unrelated news, kyle baught a motorcycle. he's going to be in town friday to pick it up and start moving in.
