hoo-boy. where to begin?

friday night kate, brenna, elizabeth, and i headed down to red wing to see chippendales. it was about what i expected, but the dancing could've been better. they need a better choreographer, and maybe a better costumer. and their one set piece was on wheels and they weren't masked and it was there the whole time but only used once. also, i would like to tell the guy with the glasses: we know you have a penis. you can stop grabbing it.

i'm overly critical. it really was a good time. i laughed and laughed for the entire 90 minutes. except when one of the guys actually sang "hero" by enrique iglesias, and about six of the guys came out dressed as marines... i was kinda moved. like, i had to tell myself "uh, yeah, they're just gonna take those uniforms off, y'know." and they did, and i stopped being moved and started laughing again.

after the show we dicided we were going to stop at the first hole-in-the-wall bar we came across that actually had people in it. we ended up at the trophy, in new trier. yeah, i've never heard of it either. but as the nice old bartender checked out ids he looked at kate's and recognized pequot. he mentioned he had family there, one of them being about our age. turnes out he is paul fox's uncle bob. what a small world- i love it.

went back to brenna's in farmington. we baked the most delicious cookies ever and went to bed ridiculously late.

yesterday was pretty uneventful until eric called while kate and i were at irish on grand. his car was stolen. he proceeded to invite us over to play settlers of catan. so we went, along with stephanie. some other people were there and we played. i'm not really a fan of settlers- never really have been. i'm not a board game type of person. i started reading one of eric's books in the middle of the game (which kate and i lost). we just kinda hung out for awhile. eric talked about how he doesn't like les miserables, and i was thinking about how eric doesn't like anything. i don't like anything either. that must be why eric and i are friends. today at lunch i was sitting with kate and tim walsworth and gabby and they were talking about how tim sailer doesn't like anything and that's probably why he and eric are friends. it is also probably why tim and i are friends, and why we sit next to each other in journalism - because we don't like it.

the point of the story is that i'm glad i'm not the only person i know who hates everything.

i just turned in a project treatment to zach for video production. he looked at it and said "you're kidding me, katrina." i said "nope. you love it." because it's true (the project is a commerical. i'm mocking the head on commecial in an advertisement for post-it notes).

the broadway revival of les miserables opens on thursday. i'm seeing it in london, so i don't really care.

don't wanna be forgotten
