went to the impeach bush protest today. pretty neat - pretty much every age group (from babies to old people in wheelchairs) was represented, so that's pretty cool. there were a lot of speeches before the march, and some old guys standing behind me were starting to get annoyed, i guess. "we wanna march! we wanna march!" i wanted to turn around and be like "dude, it's a peaceful protest; stop being a dick." we'd get to the marching soon enough. and march we did.
it was pretty sweet walking through downtown minneapolis, seeing all the people supporting us from office windows and the skyways. lots of cars honking too. neat. it was a bit anticlimactic though; the march ended in loring park, and we left before the music started. some of us had places to be, 'n' all that. i took some pictures. they're on das gesichtbuch (go figure), so if you're cool enough to be friends with me you can check 'em out there.
i am reading about relational dialectics for comm theory, and while it is actually pretty interesting, it is also kind of painful. however, the chapter mentions the movie children of a lesser god and while i have not seen the movie, i do know that marlee matlin is the shit.
i'm going to go drink chai at borders.
