i feel like this entry needs a disclaimer.
last night as i was falling asleep my mind was wandering. at one point i was thinking about theatre and the trojan women, and basically came up with what follows.
trojan condoms. why do they have that name? the trojans lost the war. the trojan horse, yes yes - but come on. if you think about it at 2:00am, the whole trojan horse thing is one big euphemism. allow me to explain:
with soldiers concealed inside the horse, the greeks entered the city - penetrated it, even. stay with me here. they got inside and the trojans were all like "yay! giant horse! all is well!" and celebrated. celebrated, that is, until the horse burst open and a bunch of greeks came pouring out and destroyed everything.
so the trojan horse is like a breaking condom. i'm sure you can fill in the blanks, but i'll do it for you anyway. city of troy = woman and her precious eggs. trojan horse = condom. greek soldiers = sperm. the only difference is the soldiers destroyed everything instead of fertilizing it and making it grow. they were not gardeners.
would you, if you were a condom company, want to associate your name with such a thing? i didn't think so.
