Revisiting Memories [31 Aug 2008|07:15pm] Welcome to new readers and visitors. This was part of the online "diary" I kept my first year away from home in 2003 at "ballet boarding school." Please forgive the horrible use of online jargon (lol, ppl, gtg, etc) and lack of grammar and punctuation. My editing skills have improved greatly since then! long time [24 Mar 2004|09:39pm] [ mood | sick ] its been a long time since ive written in here and i wasnt planning to continue writing, but i feel as though i have to now. lots of things have happened...i dont remember when i last posted and i cant write everything but here goes... #1 im going to miami for summer....i requested kit as my roomie which will be awsome...she got in level 8 (highest level, no suprise) and i got in 6. fred, liz, and isabel are going too. liz is in 8, isabel is in 5. oh yea i got out of going with her for spring break, but now she wants me to go home with her on weekends during summer... #2- ashley and lesley got kicked out because they went to a drinking party with haverford and came back totally smashed.... #3- lindsey had to go home on tuesday because her ankles got really bad (chipped bones) so she has to get surgery....she doesnt know yet when she can come back...whenever she can walk.....hopefully by prom! #4- prom. haha im taking deonte just so he can go. laura is taking fred so we have all the guys going...i got my dress, its pink satin strapless...i love it, but i went shopping when i was at home in feb. w/ mom and isabel...isabel hated like everything i tried on and liked so i was just like i dont care what you think! she doesnt seem to understand that in any aspect of my life. she is not my mother. "you'll never get very far in life that way..." "let me guess taylor, you dont like broccoli. you dont like this you dont like that..." UGH! #5- yurika is moving into kate's room next door, and carly has moved there too. carly is still really thin...but yea yurika is moving stuff now and will be out by like tomorrow or the weekend. so then i'll be in my apartment by myself! good or bad? mmm both i suppose...i miss linds #6- im sick......started saturday night....been laying in bed pretty much this whole time since then, with the exception of a few doctors appts (mentioned below) and a little time in rapa. i went to class tonight but natasha z told me to just do barre and then go home. so i did. when i was leaving she was like good job taylor you worked very well today. i love her. she actually acknowledges my pressence....oh that reminds me of another topic i need to discuss... #7- showcase. natasha bar is choreographing ours and we started it a few weeks ago....of course sarah a and b are featured, but yea no suprise.....the whole thing is coming along well i think....last week natasha was like rearranging the groups for a separate part of the dance and she was trying to pick someone to go with sarah sarah and olivia (obviously the good group..) so she was kind of doing it by height...she comes to me and lydia (same height)...looks at us, then she's like lydia you are sick (meaning her hips) so taylor you go over there with them, but lydia you learn the spot and once you get better WE'LL SEE WHO DOES IT BETTER. i was like omg i cant believe you just said that! we'll see who does it better. she knows we live together, why would she put us in the akward position??? i'll tell u why. she is natasha bar. anyways after that she was like but its not fair to you taylor to learn it and then not do it so you will prbably do it. so i guess that was relieving, although i dont care so much about the "part" (its nothing that special yet) but of course lydia being who she is gets all upset and cries in the middle of class so all attention is drawn to her..so i didnt want to be a "sore winner" if u will (although there wasnt much to win) so i went over and was like whats wrong (tho i knew very well) and she was like im never gonna get the part she just knows me as the girl who's injured...im never gonna get better til i stop growing cause me tendons are messed up yadda yada yadda........i was like give me a break. take the stupid part. i didnt say that but yea...and she was like i might as well not even learn it im never going to do it.....then like 10 minutes later she comes to me and is like..dont u think u should learn my part 2 just incase we switch? i was like oh come on lydia. and also after that 'well see who does it better" thing, sarah a comes up to me and whispers "its so obviosuly gonna be u." i thought to myself yea and u prolly just went over there and told lydia the same thing. ugh i cant stand people. at all. i thought mhs people were bad, but i didnt have to live with them! i appreciate nick nowadays.... #8- gum surgery. yea, i need it done twice. how cool is that. not at all, let me tell u. after each thing i cant dance for 5 days. ugh. but we're gonna get a 2nd opinion when i go home next week for SPRING BREAK with the periodontists at dads hospital.....i am falling apart. #9- SPRING BREAK! oh god i cannot wait another day. but i hafta wait anotehr week. i need this vaca sooo incredibly badly. i need a break. dont get me wrong, i love it here and do plan on returning next yr. but i just need a break to be at home ALONE. especially since ive been thru a lot lately with sickness, retainer, etc etc....but yea, i go home next saturday night! yay...but this saturday i have to take the SATs...not fun, especially if im still sick. oooh no. not good. ok well i just typed for like 20 minutes and i need to crash and sleep cause i didnt sleep well last night and i feel like crap. adios 1 comment|post comment

[02 Feb 2004|08:49pm] [ mood | okay ] been a while. sorry. been verrrry busy.....no need to go over whats happened since last entry...i'll just start back up from here...... lets see...didnt get into sab...waiting to hear from san fran and orlando...still hafta audition for mianmi and pnb....goin home this weekend for the bosotn audition :-) yay......theyre having a suprise 16th bdya party for gracie...and its erica's bday next week too so i hafta find em both presents asap.... we went to haverford all guys school today...it was fun this kid brian showed me around and i went to an english class...gotta say i appreciate my computer and couch haha....it was fun tho... class tonight was good w/ zieger....i still absolutely love ehr classes....we did a really hard combo on pointe and she had me demonstrate it cuz i could do it so that was good... american idol is on and i dont feel like typing any more but i wanna start my journal again so yea...more later post comment

end of xmas vaca [04 Jan 2004|08:05pm] [ mood | indifferent ] long time no write! things have been busy...its the end of christmas vaca...lots to write about...lets see... nutcracker was over....it was fun, even if it was a crappy production lol still amazing to be involved....the last show was sooo great everyone did crazy stuff and like threw snow and stuff..waaay fun :-D hehe... christmas...lydia came back with me...she was wicked annoying at times but overall i guess it was ok...i got a digital camera from gram, a louis vuitton puse from dad, and a bunch of makeup and stuff from mom...those were my big presents but lots of other stuff too..... the day after christmas we hadda go back for the rest of nutcracker...which was ok...i did the four seasons tea that saturday and bo and stephanie ran it...they said i did good but yea thats what they hafta say...i hope i get paid for these things lol... wednesay night (new years eve) i flew home...went to grams to celebrate papa mike's bday/new yrs eve...we had pasta yum yum....watched the ball drop....those kinda things just arent exciting any more..i mean its new years eve so what? i dunno it didnt really feel like xmas this year, and i wasnt excited for new years at all..whats wrong with me....i dunno.. ive been sick tho with a cold since monday so the last few days i was in philly when i wasnt @ the theater i was laying in bed...then this whole time i came home ive been sick and basically doing nothing...spent the day yesterday w/ kels..went to the mall then she slept over dads house...youd think she'd be wild but she wasnt too bad at all.... today mom brad and i went to lunch @ bella's and it was yummy....then we baked cookies for me to take bck with me...mmmmmm mmm......now i just finished packing everything...dads on his way to pick me up cuz he's tking me to the airport in he morning...my flight is at 6;15 am again...woopie...geting up at 3:30 yay.....but it'll be good to get back to class! gtg now more sometime this week when i get a chance! <3 PS- good news!!! for spring break im goin to florida w/ isabel!! cuz its not the same vaca as normal school...so no1 will be around anyhoo....im wicked excited :-) byes post comment

[17 Dec 2003|11:06am] [ mood | productive ] seemed like this day lasted forever...lets see.. yesterday i had my show in the morning, and then i did absolutely nothing for the rest of the night...then this morning i had to get up at 6:45 cuz i had a stupid orthodontist appt at 7:30...i was quick tho..told me i need braces again for probably 2 years...great...then came back and had a headache so i went back to sleep from like 9-10:15 or so...woke up....hung around w/ lydia....got soooo bored so i decided to rearrange my room....my bed is now where my tv was, tv and drawers at the foot of the bed, and desak in the corner where bed was....nice change...gotta finsh moving some of my stuff around, but thats my job for all day long tomorrow cuz i only have a show at 7. i went to go see nutcracker tonight...got a $19 ticket way up in the amphitheater, but it wasnt bad cause i was in the 2nd row in the center up there cuz i moved cuz no1 was there...aranxta did dew and omg she is gorgeous...her performance just makes me think of how much i want to do that, and then how much i dont think i'll get there. ugh life is frustrating...but anyhoo the performance was good...wanted to cry again during battle...but it was better than in dress rehersal when i watched....hmm.. well when we got back i was still bored and awake cause i had a latte before the show, so i cleaned...the kitchen, the bathroom, and around my room....eew the bathroom was so nasty....grossness...but im glad its done... ok well i think i'll go to bed now...i wanna try to make myself do my english essays tomorrow so maybe i can take the lesson 1 test friday? hey nothing else to do with my time anyway...mmk well gnight post comment

[15 Dec 2003|09:56pm] [ mood | bored ] been a few days since ive updated..lets see.. shows have been going well...saturday i did the four seasons thing which was kinda fun...then dad and lori watched my show that night...yesterday i had a noon show which went ok, then it was pouring and i was gonna hafta walk back alone, so instead i went to lunch at cosi w/ some ppl who had to stay for the later show, and then i found a cab and came back, and did nothing for the rest of the night cuz i thought i was the only 1 here, but found out later a few other ppl were here.. then today nobody had any shows or rehearsals...so we sat in the lounge and watched movies literally all day...pirates of the carribean, chocolat, and cheaper by the dozen. then just now dana took us to target...bought juice, cookie dough (i couldnt resist!) hair gel...think thats it basically.. now im goin to bed early cuz i have a show at 11 tomorrow, gotta be there at 10:15, so getting up around 9 i guess? not too bad....but yea anyways more tomorrow maybe post comment

nutcracker opening night [12 Dec 2003|09:47am] [ mood | exhausted ] just got back from my first performance! omg it was a long day, but worth every second! ok well first off this morning i got my psat scores back and i got a 56 in english, 68 in math, and 60 in writing...which translates in noaml scores to 560, 680, and 600, making my combined verbal and math a 1240, when in eigth grade it was a 1020. so thats good. and in math im in the 98th percentil, english 85%, and writing 86%. good stuff. anyways after i got that, dana took lidia and i to the rosin box so i could buy new shoes. then she dropped us off at the theater at noon. it was dress rehearsal but w/ a school audience, and they did act 2 first, so we did it and everything and it went well...then when we were done we had to go out and watch 1st act...so we did...omg i almost cried. ok party scene was not bad..just different and there was no bear :( but it was ok...then theres this awkward long pause w/ this random music where they switch scenery to battle scene. if u could call it a battle scene. it was soooo pathetic, i think it was about equal w/ the milford ballet i saw last yr, if that. omg it was awful. the costumes look like sweatsuits. nutcracker is played by a little boy who's head looks like its about to fall off. drosslemeyer is terrible. the actual battle...they had 1 cannon that was just like there...didnt shoot anything, no noise, no flash, nadda! omg it was awful! my eyes filled with tears, especially when the tree "grew" or didnt. it was a really pathetic tree let me tell u. ugggh. i wanted to ball. and thats not like me. but i seriously almost did. ok fine so then that whole mess was over, we get to snow scene...number 1 there is no snow pas. yea what do u do w/o a snow queen and king? uh huh so theyre just the snowflakes...the dance was fine except they hold these random fluffy things that look like q-tips from the audience. dunno what theyre supposed to be but whatever. the actually snow is nothing compared to boston. the scenery is nothing. the theater is beautiful, but the stage is about 1/2 the size in every direction. its really sad. but hey, even if it was milford high auditorium w/ 1 person in the audience, i'll take it. anything to be on the stage. i dont really know why i can absolutely find everything else in disgust, but when im physically on the stage, not even dancing, just there, its amazing. there are no words. and even i dont understand what im talking about anymore. aranxta did sugar plum. she is absolutely gorgeous. and amy did dew drop and she was pretty too. she's so nice. omg but it was so weird for me to be back there and not see like miss leonard cattle calling all the kids together....and not to see jennifer gelfand stretching in the wings....and all the rest of the people ive been in nutcracker w/ forever. so differnet. ah well.. better get to bed....im doin the tea tomorrow and then strait to the theater :).... oh yea dad came today and i saw him for a little while between rehearsal and show..before i saw him i went to the bellevue w/ sara aetan, sara biron, jen, and alisa, and saras mom. omg they are all sooooo obnoxious! ugh i was like u guys shut uppppp! when dad finally came he was like oh well u can hang out here..i was like umm no we can go back to the hotel. he was like ooook haha well yea i needed a break. ok i need to go eat something and go to bed...night post comment

[11 Dec 2003|09:43am] [ mood | mad but excited ] long day.. we had chris again this morning, but we got out ealry cuz we had rehearsal...got to the theater around 1, left at 5;30. yea long day. and i actually got out of my seat for all of maybe 10 minutes of that time. uh huh yea. and ok we go to get our dyed shoes today in the dressing room...oh no, they lost mine, and lidia's and rachels. uh huh so they took the regular ones iw as wearing (which had holes in em) and are gonna dye those, and theyre like "well i guess you'll hafta go buy a new pair for class!" i was like whaaaat?? u lost my shoes and I hafta go and pay for a new pair for class? um nooooo thats so not right! uggh whatever..then we didnt have a ride after rehearsal so we walked back and were too late so we didnt go to class. oh well... but hey on the bright side tomorrow is opening night! should be exciting :-) i hope anyway..more tomorrow post comment

[10 Dec 2003|11:48pm] [ mood | happy ] hahaha fun times... mmk this morning we had chris and it was a good class...then i took the 3 o clock class w/ zieger and cuz it was our last class w/ her til after break, she let us make up our own versions to nutcracker dances..so 1 group got russian, chinese, spanish, etc etc...my group was me lydia tamara and michelle and we got chinese...it was so fun! then after class we had a brief photo shoot which was just 1 pic for some board members or something..it was like all rapa people then a few little kids...and i got to be up in a shoulder sit hehe so that was cool :) haha....then night class again w/ zieger but we made up our own combinations which was fun too... after class, we built gingerbread houses in the lounge! omg it was so much fun! mine came ok haha but it eventually broke so i ate some of it (mostly just the gram crackers and icing haha cuz im not a candy person) but it was so great...and everyone was so hyper from the sugar so we were all like dancing around to xmas carols...oh sooooo fun! hahaha it was great.. we just finished, so now im back in my room...i feel bad cuz i was suppsosed to call mom tonight after class, but i never got a chance to because right after class i took a shower and then built my house. i feel bad, but im gonna call her tomorrow so..yea well better get to bed cuz i hafta wake up normal time tomorrow (slept a little later today :) cuz we have a rapa meeting w/ ali tomorrow morning about like jsut random stuff but yea...so bed time post comment

[07 Dec 2003|11:32pm] [ mood | cheerful ] long day... we had bo and stephanie this morning but it was a 10 person class cuz people had a dd, so it was a really really good class...they had me demonstrate petite alegro which was nice cuz bo was like excellent taylor! i was like wow score haha that never happens...then we had zieger at night and it was an ok class..nothing special, but it was good... then at 9 we had our christmas party...i was right, liz was my secret santa haha she gave me the cutest fake coach white and pink purse..so cute..with some bath stuff inside...cute...and i gave out all my presents and they liked em :) i love giving things hehe...then we watched the santa claus...was a good night.. oo the thing w/ dj antonio michael..i heard from people but this isnt reliable cuz i dunno whats true, what i guess they were caught drinking and smoking in michael's room..michael is gone already, and i think antonio and dj hafta leave aftger nutcracker cuz they need em for nutcracker..whatever.. well bed time post comment

[07 Dec 2003|09:46pm] [ mood | curious ] good weekend... yesterday morning we still had class, but chris taught....interesting...then after it was still snowing, but we went to south street and walked around and stuff, then we ate at johnny rockets...yum...then at night we watched pirates for the carribean (good movie) and played uno and just talked...fun stuff....then today we walked up to dollar tree and libery place and the gallery mall (great mall!) to do some xmas shopping....it was fun, even tho it was just me lydia and liz...but yea....then we came back here and i finished wrapping my secret santa gifts etc.....then we just had a meeting and it was to say not to gossip about something that happend w/ anotonio michael and dj until we find out the outcome tomorrow...i was like whaaa what happened? if they didnt wasnt us to know ne thing they shouldnt have had the meeting cuz nobody woulda known anything...aaah whatever i'll wait and see tomorrow... well gonna go more tomorrow post comment

[05 Dec 2003|11:43pm] [ mood | cheerful ] tonight was the best night ever!! ok right after natasha's class we all bundled up and took cabs to the tree lighting ceremony cuz it was snowing soo hard....then we get there and there were ppl singing and a band and everything...we got free cider and hot chocolate, and then channel 10 news was there and they put the camera on us for a lotta the time cuz we were attracting lots of attentino ahah seeing as it was me lindsey isabel lydia laura tamara and rob there.....so amazingly fun. the tree was pretty...then after all that was over, we went to starbucks to warm up and had a drink n everhting....then we walked back in the snow which was cold but fun.... when we got back, we all had a snowball fight in the courtyard! omg it ws the funnest time since we've been here! it was great! ahah dana was watching us and cracking up. ooo so much fun! when we all warmed up later we watched miracle on 34th street in here, and then sat and waited for the 11 o clock news to come on because we wanted to see if we were on it cuz we were on live from the tree lighting....but we waited and waited and the very last thing they showed was the tree lighting ceremony..from some old random town!!! we were all soooooooo mad that we werent on hahahha it was ok tho! now lindsey and i are just sitting here crocheting and stuff...fun fun. we will deff have morning class, but pointe is cancelled so its only 9:30-11, and then i have nutcracker from 3-3:30(which hopefully will be cancelled?), but after that we're goin to south street to a few places, and then at night i think laura and i and maybe isabel are gonna go see chicago at the theater! im so excited i love that show even tho ive seen it 3 times already im so going again! haha yes! ok well better get to bed soon cuz we probably have natasha (but not sure cuz we're combined w/ level3) so more tomorrow maybe post comment

[05 Dec 2003|01:55am] [ mood | sore ] been a few days since ive updated...lets see... wesnesday we had chris in the morning insteada tama.... it was a wicked good class actually...hard, but good...yesterday we had george all day as usual...oo and i finished lesson 4 and 5 in chem yesterday...ali laughed haha.... its snowing today! so ali didnt come in so i slept in this morning (til bout 9:15) then had natasha bar's class, but my hip is absolutely killing me.....yea they cancelled all afternoon classes for the rest of the afternoon except for rapa. wonderufl. but we have to take the 3 o clock class and hopefully eva will teach if she can make it in. if she cant, then its natasha bar yet again. but something good- tomorrow pointe is cancelled, and we're combined w/ level 3 for our hour and a half class. which might mean we have george. yesss haha im awful...its just that like im so tired and my hip...ugh yea tonight after that class isabel lindsey lydia tamara laura and i are gonna go to the tree lighting ceremony down the street, so that'll be fun. lindsey is so excited about the snow haha its onyl her 2nd time seeing snow, 1st was when she was 3, so yea lol. ok well gonna go relax a bit before class...we ahd to e-mail ali this morning w/ what we're workin on today and i did and she e-mailed me back sayin im a very hard worker and i should do something fun for ymself today. lol well the tree lighting ceremony will be fun. mmk well byes post comment

[01 Dec 2003|08:24pm] [ mood | exhausted ] sooooo tired.. woke up at 4 am....ok flight....went to pick up my bad and they broke the zipper so that was complicated...finally got back and everything....had class w/ guest teacher (forget her name) but it was a really good class...then we were combined w/ level 3 for night class and we had eva which was nice for a change... now we're getting ready to go to target....i need lotsa stuff so yea...more later or tomorrow post comment

[29 Nov 2003|10:57pm] [ mood | content ] yesterday we all went over erica's and just hung out...found out kel is goin to the senior formal too....complicated story that i better not put here incase....anyways yea and then at night we came here and they slept over.we watchd bruce almighty and finding nemo...then talked til 4 am, slept til 10...... dad picked nick and I up around 12:30 and we went into boston to shop :-) so un...got a present for lindsey and erica and lydia and gram...we went to quincy market and downtown crossing...good day...then at 6 i met kit, lizzie, ariel, malia, and sara valverde (dont ask) to go to finale. oooooo it was so good! good food, and good to see them all cuz i miss them a ton! they told em it was my bday ahah so we got a free creme brulee which sara ate...i dont know why she was there i dont even know her really...she had to come cuz malia had to...weird...she was acting so immature..spilled water..throwing blueberries in the air tryin to catch em in her mouth..weirdo. but oh well it was wicked fun...we're making a tradition out of this finale thing hehe ok well im exhausted from a long, great day...tomorrow i think im just goin to like kohls and stuff w/ mom. then i leave early monday. wahoo. ok bye post comment

[27 Nov 2003|10:23pm] [ mood | full ] Happy Thanksgiving! haha i was thinking about Isabel's turkey day song today lol... watched the parade this morning....then ate a huge turkey dinner w/ mom brad nick gram and papa mike...yummy dessert....then later uncle harris, jenny, kelsie, and max came over and that was nice to have mom nad uncle harris in the same room...gram enjoyed it.. tomorrow im getting together w/ friends..fun fun...more tomorrow post comment

[26 Nov 2003|08:29am] [ mood | cheerful ] im hooooooooooooome! ok yesterday i had nutcracker rehearsal from 11:30-1 which was good, then dana took me isabel and lydia to airport at 1:30. so i sat in the airport from 2 until my flight at 7. it was bad. i was soooooooooooooooooooo bored let me tell u.....uggggh it was bad. but anyways my flight was ok, dad picked me up, and now im here! i think im going to gram's today to visit and help w/ stuff for tomorrow....fun fun...erica's having her surgery today but she'll be fine im sure... well more later<3 good to be home post comment

[24 Nov 2003|02:30pm] [ mood | productive ] im totally done w/ english! i am officially a junior cuz im not taking a math next yr! so yep im a junior! score! haha yessss... also finished my scarf today...i like it. im gonna make one for my secret santa :) fun bo and stephanie taught today and it was a really really good class. fun... ugh tomorrow the only time dana's taking people to the airport is at 1:30, so im gonna sit in the airport for 6 hours before i even leave. wonderful. i guess i will be taking my computer home then hah....great.. well i have rehearsal in and hour, and nothing to do now cuz im done w/ sophomore year! all i have left is my pre-cal part 2 and french tests but i need the tutor...o well! more later post comment
