how is everyone's summer so far? mine's alrite, a little boring, but hey, who's summer isn't? i haven't been doing much i guess, which doesn't really bother me. i dunno why, but lately i am just craving to be alone. it's not like a long time thing, i just have been doing fine on my own. i was reading this book "the last time i wore a dress" and i finished that. it was pretty good. it was about a grrl who dressed like a tomboy so they put her in a bunch of mental institutions. it was scary to read about all the stuff that goes on inside there. ann and i walked to the library yesterday and i rented "please" and "rainbow boys." i'm pretty much done with "please." it's pretty good and i'll probably walk back to the library sometime this week and look for more books on this author cuz he's pretty amazing. "rainbow boys" is about 3 gay guys and one is 'out' with his gayness, one is afraid to come 'out' and one has a grrlfriend and is scared to tell her he has fantasies about fucking guys. now that's what i like, lol. yesterday was 6 months for matt and i. it doesn't really feel this long. i thought we'd both be more excited about this. he didn't even mention it. i wish we had the kind of relationship you see on the movies where they're both really witty and ask eachother weird questions. i just think that it'd be cool for us to engage in an interesting conversation..not about skating, or the stupid shit his friends do. i guess i can't complain though. who REALLY who has an interesting movie relationship like that anyway? i wrote a poem not long ago and i actually sort of like it. it's so nice just sitting in my room with the windows wide open, blasting the music and writing. either that or reading. it feels so calm and i just love it. i have so much time to myself and it just gives me a lot of time to think of ideas and whatnot. i plan to submit some of the poetry i write this summer into circus and maybe even read at coffee house. i'm really looking forward to that. photo, too. i already have some ideas that i'm excited about getting out :D. warped tour is the 29th and although there aren't a lot of bands going that i know, i'm really excited about it. i can't wait to see tsunami bomb and i think i'll get way more into a lot of the bands that are going. thrice is going and i have heard them a little bit and they're pretty good. tsL is coming july 14th and i am definitely going to see them. senses fail is coming like july 2nd and i don't know if i'm going to see them cuz i probably won't have a ride, but oh well. the drive thru tour is in the fall and i'm soooo excited. steel train is going and i'm really interested in seeing them, plus they're hot. hehe. finch isn't going, which totally blows, but i'll see them again. r2k and nate told me ;). well, i think it's time to go now. i'm on my way :o). xxx jen xxx |
