Boys won over Fulham - advances to the next round of the FA Cup. Yay! Next up is Liverpool so that's more exciting. I can't say "I can't wait" cos I need to NOT know when it will be so will steer clear of that information.
Off to the bathroom again (2x in the last 10 minutes or so). My tummy hurts...

There was a woman whose credit card got declined when she was paying for a 2000 PHP-ish bag at Debenhams at the Shangri-La this afternoon. It got really annoying because she was just going off on a tirade as to how she has got this long standing battle with MasterCard and how she pulled out all her investmens with BPI because of that battle of hers with them and included HSBC in her wrath by saying they're useless.
Obviously it's difficult to ignore an overgrown woman curse in a place that could be considered quite high end (at least here in the Philippines) so I can't help but overhear some details about her aggravation. In the middle of the "I'll sue them bastards" sound off's, I kind of heard that she just paid her credit card that morning? So I thought, well there you go. That wouldn't apply until next wek. Can't help but think don't go shopping until you know how much available credit you have - and if you have available cash.

I am at that point where I hate meetings. I used to love meetings - it's a place where you trade ideas and such. But when you don't really get on with the people you have meetings with and from time to time you feel like you're cornered (and genuinely annoyed by majority of the people you share the room with), it eats a lot of your energy. So you spend your time post-meeting blurtying out how you feel.
Just like right now.
Hay. I wish I can get out of here. I miss my niece.

Rio's getting married this August and I really wish I hadn't known and only knew about it when it was done. Now I have to endure the upcoming days and months with this painful thought that he is no longer someone I can fantasize about. (I have this unwritten rule not to fantasize about anyone who's married - it just doesn't feel right.)
So either I stop right now and let him go gradually - or I can do it the Ugly Betty way and enjoy the remaining 148 days I have left of gloriously objectifying him as a single man...
Hmm.
I think I'll choose the Ugly Betty way because I'm a romantic like that.
Sigh.
Seriously - I have no more will to live.

I thought I'd enroll myself to some French lessons first quarter of the year 2009. But I have decided it has to take a back seat since I need to save up for the US trip I intend to make come true since it's like my Champions League to SAF. It's there, I can smell it, and it's agonising that I can't make it come true.
During the Christmas dinner with kina Simoun, Alcs mentioned that he might go to NY June of this year and he said I can go with him and stay with his family in NYC so I can save up on the lodging.
I need that to happen.
Kiber na sa summertime. Go go go ito.
For the meantime, I'll just listen to Boyzone and Alliage's "Te Garder Pres De Moi". For now, this will just do.

I bought the whole DVD set of Encantadia (my Disc One is still with Ken) because I missed out on watching that thanks to my graveyard schedule at work.

Ever since I got home been doing nothing but watch DVD's and honestly, it's been quite therapeutic. I haven't spent a penny since Friday (apart from the odd toll that I had to pay over at NLEX) and I'm already quite sad tomorrow's the last day of it.
I was able to download "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Frost/Nixon" but haven't had the chance to watch them just yet. I finished Disc 2 and 3 of Encantadia (my Christmas gift to myself, the complete Encantadia DVD!) and regret the fact that I didn't bring more of my Encantadia DVD's.
Anyroad.
While fixing myself a drink awhile ago, my brain went off to la-la-land and imagined how lovely it would be to have DVD nights like this if I had a place to call my own back in Manila.
Essentials:
1) Popcorn
2) Massive stock of beverage - Coke Zero, Florida's Naturals Lemonade...
3) DVD's of course...
I don't really mind doing this on my own. At least I get to control the films that I see.
Haaaay. If only I got my own place. I'd buy that Lightning McQueen telly I saw at Toy Kingdom.

I've never been a proud Novo Ecijano. In fact, I hate to even be associated with that town. I find it really amusing though that that pathetic excuse of a place I call home has got a website and an entry on Wikipedia.
Seriously, if it weren't for my contempt for that place I would have quit my job a long time ago and endured the boredom that seamlessly hovers around it.

Going nuts over videos on YouTube showcasing Ryan Gosling singing on MMC. The boy can sing!!! He does this whsitles and he was singing alongside JC and Justin - and he was right up there!
Pardon me - but I didn't have MMC growing up so this comes as news to me.
I was able to download his song "Put Me In The Car" - he sounds fantastic. Someone should tell him to release an album.
This post comes after watching The Notebook which explains why I'm on Ryan Gosling high. After all, the man is in my mush list.
I first "discovered" him when I was into the whole Jonathan Brandis brouhaha but didn't really pay attention. The shows he was on were never aired in the Philippines so there. Then the next thing I know, he's "hooking up" with Sandra B on Murder By Numbers. Quite a jump from his Beaker High days, eh?
Anyway - he's supposed to be back with Rachel McAdams (saw photos on Just Jared.com - sweetness!) and I couldn't be happier. I like Rachel McAdams - when I found out she was considered for the role of Sophie for Mamma Mia, right there the film version already lost points with me even before getting to watch it.
I wonder. How do they both fel that they have got this added pressure of staying together from the public? Remember Ryan's statement on GQ that apparently, women would come up to him to berate him for letting Rachel McAdams go. I sort of googled what could have caused the break-up in the first place and stumbled upon a site that says Rachel is an uber-bitch which I find so hard to accept.
Look at me getting worked up on the two of them.
And because of that, I'm officially a fan girl of Ryan Gosling. And the first order of business? Making the man my wallpaper!!!
