[13 Aug 2010|12:15pm] |
In other news, I did officially quit smoking 2 months ago. Cold turkey! Don't know how long it will last. Before I just didn't smoke - but now i quit. My new vice is watching The Bachelorette reruns.

| Danny Phantom vs Jake Long |
[01 Aug 2010|07:16pm] |
If Jake Long and Danny Phantom were meted against each other, who do you reckon will win? Danny can walk through walls and have cool gadgets to help him. Jake can turn into a dragon.
Hmm. Okay. I think Jake wins this one.

[26 Jul 2010|07:51am] |
I have a tween playlist that has random songs from random Disney Channel and Nickelodeon shows. I can't help it - I still enjoy those! And you want to know a secret? I am secretly sad that this is Hannah Montana's final season. :( Now the world is just left with Miley Cyrus. :-s That's bad....

| it's raining!!! |
[31 May 2010|02:06pm] |
The rain is a very much welcomed event today here in Gapan. It's been a really, long, hot summer and I still have the burn marks to prove it.
It's only now that I'm regretting staying out in the sun for too long back in Puerto Princesa - I don't look like me on my pictures anymore!
But it's all good. I hope I get my complexion again sooner than later.
Happy Rainy Monday everyone!

| Fall |
[22 Feb 2010|02:50pm] |
Fall out of my head out of my heart and when you hit the ground You'll be sorry I'm not around I'll be watching while you Fall out of your mind Out of your history And when you hit the wall Think of me I'll be on the top just watching you fall - The Saturdays, "Fall"
I almost want to be in love and then get my heart broken just so I can sing this song and actually mean it. It's so beautiful. And not to brag or anything but I recorded this song this weekend (thanks to some random YouTube video that had the instrumental of it) and I actually sounded pretty good.
Watch out for me on iTunes! Choz!

| what is your position? vs. waht is your role? |
[22 Feb 2010|02:03am] |
|
Girl: So where do you work? Kim: I work at ehemehemehmeggplant Girl: What is your position? Kim: I don't even know sometimes but I'm a consultant - at least that's what it says on my employment certificate.
The way she asked "what is your position" was very off putting. I just met her, I don't know her, I just asked her to join me at our table while our common friend was buying something. We were left to each other and obviously, the common "getting-to-know-you" questions were spewed.
I just realised from her mistake it's never polite to ask what is someone's position unless you are probably from HR and would want to pirate him or her. It's more polite IMO to ask "what do you do?" or "what is your role?"
I still have her face in my head every time I remember the way she asked me that question. And her peekabo red bra in her outdated babydoll blouse.
Get a real Louis Vuitton, honey - and maybe then, you can ask me that question.

... or do days go by so fast lately?
We're already halfway through the first month of the year and the next thing you know, it's Valentine's day already.
I hate Valentine's day. It's so selective. It's the only holiday being celebrated in the world that I can never be a part of as I don't have a fella.
Shame. 10 years and still the same old freaking rant.

Realised Twitter is not as fun since I have to scan through all the tweets and look for relevant ones. Which was brought about by me following a lot of people so I had to unfollow so many especially those Saturdays girls since they tweet so much. :(
Oh well.

Grown ups should tell horizontally challenged kids that if they continue eating they will have a problem getting laid. At that early age kids should learn about SEX.

T.O.P.

I think his name is really just "T.O.P" without the "." at the end of the "P" but I find it awkward so I've been referring to him as T.O.P. (with the ".") in the end.
My LJ is now full of Big Bang/T.O.P. blabbering I thought I'd save some for Blurty.
I want to go to South Korea NOW NA!!!!!!

| things I learned from my recent trip to Sydney |
[13 Jul 2009|03:45pm] |
|

1.) If there's a K-Mart in town, you need to go there ASAP. The biggest mistake was not going to K-Mart and buying proper attire for the weather. I should have checked their store hours prior to going to Australia. We ended up spending AUD 400 on useless coats and sweaters from this store we passed by in Berrima because we had no other choice.
2) Packing t-shirts is worthless - I realised (just now!) that if it's cold where I'm going, I prefer wearing blouses because I know it's the only time I can get away with it. I also don't need to pack a lot of jeans because I prefer wearing leggings over them. 2 pairs is enough for a one week trip.
3) Bringing my Jansport backpack was a good idea. Starting June 2009, Sydney went on to this green movement by asking buyers to bring their own bag or pay for an eco bag starting at AUD 1 to AUD 2 depending on the size. If you go to the Aquarium or Wildlife World, they charge you AUD 5 for it.
4) Staying at the Medina Executive Sydney Central on Lee Street was a damn good idea. I can't imagine staying somewhere else except Mercure which is right across the street. It's near Broadway (shopping), Darling Harbour (eating) and George Street is just a walk away. Going to the railway was easy as it's right beside it. Literally a minute walk.
5) If you're going to Sydney, wake up as early as 5 AM as the shops/attractions open as early as 8 AM and close as early as 5 AM. We started our second day at 8 AM and barely made it through the list of places we wanted to go because they close so early.
6) Buy a one week pass for the "RED" zone which allows you to ride the bus, ferry and train altogether if you're just staying in the CBD area. If you're going to Manly Beach, you have to pay for it specifically.
7) Actually, wake up at 4 AM. Then go to Bondi for breakfast. They start their day at 6 AM.
8) I should have bought more chocolates from Darrell Lea. They're easily the cheapest, best pasalubong you can give to your friends and family if you don't want to exactly scrimp on the idea.
9) Paddy's Market is the BEST place to buy them souvenirs. Since you're just going to give them away anyway, buy your stuff here. Don't think - just buy if you see something for 2 AUD. But my mother wouldn't listen so we had to pay double for souvenirs we bought at stores/shops on George Street. Hmp.
10) George Street is "THE" street in Sydney. You can get lost scouring through in one day. Wake up as early as possible - stores open at 8 AM and close at 5 AM.

| Hong Kong proven fact |
[17 Jun 2009|05:23am] |

It is still cheaper to fly to Hong Kong via Cebu Pacific versus taking a Philippine Airlines flight even with the add-on's (additional 5 KG fly out and fly in; seat reservation at 300 PHP per flight) included.
However, it is more expensive to fly to Hong Kong via Cebu Pacific if you're going to book your ticket close to your departure date. Philippine Airlines is more forgiving for people who make spontaneous decisions to fly and can't make future dated plans.
I still prefer flying via Philippine Airlines though. NAIA 2 is 10x better than NAIA 3. Plus since it's a small airport, the walking that you would have to do to get to your boarding gates and back is minimal compared to the trek that you have to take when you take a Cebu Pacific flight or PAL Express.
Sigh. This is what you get when you're obsessed with travelling but you have no money so the next best thing is to just check for flights.

It's the fault of "Motor Ed" the villain from Kim Possible.
