So Christmoos was good. Lots of eating, drinking, watching of TV and wearing of jammies all day. Exactly what I wanted and needed this year.

Between Christmoos and New Year I went down to London with my Mum for a couple of days. We packed in plenty of activities including 3 art exhibitions (2 at Tate Modern: Henri Rousseau and Jeff Wall, and 1 at Tate Britain: Degas, Sickert and Toulouse-Lautrec) and a play (Otherwise Engaged with Richard E. Grant and Anthony Head). We then got rather drunk on the night of the 30th when we got home from the airport so I wasn't up to much on the 31st.

I since spent most of my time lounging around in my jammies watching DVDs. I finally got round to replacing my DVD drive on my computer (and I did it all on my own *proud*) so I've been able to start enjoying the Region 1 DVDs I got from Santa. I'm tearing through Gilmore Girls season 3 at the moment and hope to start on Veronica Mars season 1 soon :o)

All in all it's been a pretty good holiday season.

Until today anyway, it would seem that I have developed a lovely case of Shingles just in time for starting back to work so I may not be seeing the inside of the library again as soon as I thought.... Damn is my back itchy.

Anyhoo, I should be back soon with talk of New Year's resolutions and much, much more.....
