SinFest ---
Sluggy Got home around 3-ish last night. We watched a bunch of stuff, which I will list and review here:
Hellsing episode 1: A - I have been wanting to see this show for a long time and now I finally did. It seemed cool. Had some nice visuals in it. It was a fansub though and despite being good quality, the subtitle font was
BAD. I'm sure the subbers thought it would be amusing to use a gothy looking font, but it's too small and
HARD TO READ. Bleh.
My friend has 13 episodes of this ( is that the whole series?) and I am hoping I can coerce him into recording them onto vhs for me. He has them on vcd and my wonderful PS2 won't play that. One day I will definitely get me a real dvd player.
Pet Shop of Horrors episodes 1-2: A - I have seen this before and I really like it. My friend has the dub, and I normally would rather watch things subbed. However, the dub is fine. I enjoy this show because it is creepy without being
scary. Another anime like that is Vampire Princess Miyu (tv series).
Big Money Hustlers: I didn't watch
all of this, but what I saw of it was kind of funny. It is a movie starring the Insane Clown Posse. I really didn't want to see this but it turned out ok. It had the Misfits in it and Dolemite. I guess you can't go wrong with that!
Satanika: Apparently, this is short anime pilot for Satanika, which is a comic book by Glenn Danzig's
Verotik company. It was animated by Madhouse Studios (X, Ninja Scroll, etc). It looked pretty interesting. It had a bit of a Legend of the Overfiend vibe to it. Not the plot, just the content; demons, sex, violence, etc.
We also watched some Troma movie previews, which I had seen before. Troma movies are crazy.
I played DDR most of the day with the N & N. They are getting better at it.
Current Mood: icky
