Well, well, well. Back to school, is it then? Exciting. I know I for one just couldn't wait to get back into the mix of things: impossible Potions homework keeping me up all night for days on end, praying to make the Quidditch team but somehow still never being quite good enough, dodging Slytherins and clumsy first years and professors....it's all just too much, I'm SO GLAD to be back.
At least I had a decent summer, I suppose. Mum took us to the States to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins. It was alright, but New York City is just so full of Muggles, I don't know how any magic folk could survive. Not that there's anything wrong with Muggles of course, it's just that a majority of them means a significant lack of easily accessable refuges for a poor young witch who is dying to give her broomstick a go for the first time in months. Oh well.
Alison, my sister, got sorted into Hufflepuff. Mum will be pleased, but I'm not exactly looking forward to having her attempt to tag along with me all year as she did all summer. But I suppose I'll manage.
