glory be. i actually completed a goal last night. OK, technically, it was at 2 a.m. today, and it was only one goal among a sea of several. er, yeah. but baby steps are key, right?

believe it or not, i got a huge chunk of the glen burnie writing done. the main story is revised and turned in, and all (well, most, since it's kinda up to me if i wanna write more) of the location profiles are in as well. i think i wrote 11 of those, and since they're cake to write and i get $20 for each one, i wouldn't mind doing a few more.

all that's left are the two sidebars. one is definitely going to be on dragon moon tattoo parlor. i hope to get that out of the way tonight. the other is supposed to be about maryland bartending academy, but the gentleman who runs it has been difficult to get ahold of. thing is, i don't want to snub him, since i'm actually interested in taking the two-week course and getting my license. so we'll see.

i need to run out to the mall tonight, and i think mom is tagging along and buying dinner. autumn sent me a link earlier today to an article on the brunching shuttlecocks website. while amusing myself, i learned that lore sjöberg has a book out that compiles many of his "reviews" from the site. i hope to find it when i go out tonight, because sjöberg's off-the-wall critical analysis of completely mundane or odd categories (state quarters, items found at the dollar store, marsupials) cracks me up without fail.

oh, thanks to the guidance of a mysterious journal reader known only as "~," i also figured out that, yes, t.A.T.u. are russian teenage lesbian pop stars. i downloaded their cover of the smiths' "how soon is now?" last night, and boy, am i scared. now, maybe i should make one of tonight's goals finding out what the hell t.A.T.u. stands for.
