The past few weeks have been repetitious in a delightful way. Trips to art galleries and shows, cafes in between, movies, dvds, the history of batman, lots of tea and home-cooked dinners. Always the quest for dessert. What are we having for dessert? we ask each other constantly. Shamefully, there was a two week period in which iced donuts from Coles were very popular and thankfully our tastes complementary. I'm crazy about the chocolate and he the strawberry, the bright yellow ones turned out to be passionfruit and not so terrible... eventually consumed, sometimes the next morning for breakfast. Nutritious.
Anxiety also prevailed for a while, there was one spectacularly sleepless night when I was waiting, waiting, waiting for a call about a job. Disturbingly neurotic, in which it felt like everything was inter-linked, co-dependent and possibly unattainable.
And now things seem to be lovely again. I'm baking apples, have two new jobs that start next week - one of which makes me a bona-fide writer. Hello first advance! I just want to say advance over and over, it's pretty cool! And hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, in a few weeks, I'll have my own place too!
