I'm watching VH1 80's videos so maybe it made me feel a little nostalgic for things in the past that should stay in the past?? Actually no, I happened to run across a blog for someone in Salt Lake while I was googling something and so it made me think "oh yeah..I have one of those sort of".
Anyways, I love that picture of my kitty. She's 13 going on 14 now! That's crazy. She's still very healthy and fairly happy, though right now she and I are both going through an adjustment period as Jamie and his cat moved in with us. I was afraid it would really drive me crazy for us to live together but so far it's been ok. It's only been like 2 months and we have our small tiffs now and then but all in all the relationship hasn't gone to hell and that's a good thing.
The cats pretty much avoid each other - Squeak (his cat) won't let me come near her yet but my cat is pretty well adjusted to Jamie. Part of that is the fact that he feeds her canned food way more often than I used to and part of it is that he lets her in and out of the house whenever she wants. Mostly though I think it's because he's around so much more than I am - keeps her company!
Work is shitty but at least we haven't had anymore layoffs cause I'd really hate to have to go back to a starting salary.
