I have a date with Shelton. Aren't I one lucky girl? Timmy says he'll pay for dinner and a movie. Won't that be fun? But other than catching a hot stud like Shelt, the swim meet was rather uneventful. I got a best time in the 50 free but my 200 back sucked. That's about it...(HEG was there... *wink wink Jackie*
As much as I love my cousins, they're non stop energy and noise. It's so quiet when they leave...
Oh yes, right as my aunt and uncle got here last night one of the first questions was like "So do you have a boyfriend?" (why do relatives LOVE that question?) I got all blushy/girly. Why do boys do this sort of thing to us girls? But at least for a change I didn't have to say 'no' and have them ask 'why not??' awkward.

Lately I've felt so busy but I'm really not. I have gotten into a routine again though...wake up, practice, school, practice, dinner, homework (sometimes), phone with Ryan, AIM/TV, sleep, repeat...As monotonous as it is, it does make the days go by a lot faster.
Last night I watched about half of Stepmom. I'd always heard Maddie talk about what a tear-jerker it is and she was so right. It was very corny though. But it did get me when Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts were talking about the little girls' wedding. Haha I get all teary eyed just thinking about it...
My cousins are coming in tonight. That sure will make my weekend rock. On Saturday we have to go put up this memorial thing at town lake for my grandmama. I really don't want to go. It'll just be depressing. But I have to go or my parents will think I'm being "disrespectful." I also have a swim meet at UT on Saturday/Sunday.
Fred broke the world record in the 50 free!! Woot!

Argh! I was filling out this survey to help me survive BCIS and halfway through I realized I'd already done that one. I'm running out of infamous surveys! This is bad, very bad.
It's really cool how certain people will bash your group of friends when they don't even know half of them at all. I mean really, it's SO cool. That's the way to make friends. It also helps when you constantly have to prove how much "better" you are and how "so many guys" like you. *rolls eyes* Man, I'm sick of most of the kids at Westwood.
Oh yes, go watch Thursday's video for "War All the Time." 33 seconds in to it there is an incredibly hot boy. Haha I'm such a loser. But yeah...it's 33 seconds exactly.

The only thing that keeps me functioning throughout the school day is thinking "Ok...this is one less day until summer." It seems so far away though...
I needed to go to the library today for my english project so I skipped practice. Afterwards my mom took me and my sister out to eat chinese food which was very nice because I was having some serious cravings during english. Seasame chicken is definitely my favorite. There was a long line to pay so my mom gave us the keys and my sister said "Get in the drivers seat!" because you know when you're a little kid sitting in the drivers seat is such a big deal. So I did and she goes "AHHH NO!!! I was kidding!" and she started to scream when I turned on the car. I think she's been traumitized ever since I ran into a pole with her in the car. Anyway, we were definitely jamming to some crazy rap music when my mother said that I needed to move :( She does not appreciate the fine art that rap is.

Last night I went over to Jenn's before the Devo. Jackie was already there and we waited until Kristyn and Adri showed up and then we left. The house it was at was huge. The Devo consisted of us meeting Jenn's "churchy friends," listening to people sing and learning that banana splits and premarital sex are very similar. "See how they're similar?" Haha. I got home around 8:30 and tried to start my history homework that I'd put off all spring break. Then Ryan called and I really should have worked on history but talking to him is just a tad more interesting.
Man...school really sucks. It feels like we never left. *sigh* I saw creepy guy with sideburns today and it was weird. Not that seeing him all the time doesn't get weird but yeah he just reminds me of school. Blah. I cannot wait until summer!!

I just got back from seeing Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen with Maddie. It was cute, not a great movie or anything, but definitely cute. Drunk people are funny...but drunk British people are even funnier, right Maddie?

Today was awesome

My feet hurt.
While I was talking with Vicki and Shannon a bird pooped on my hand. Yeah, that was nasty. I had to wait forever to get paper towels too because they wouldn't let me in to the venue. Then I got all paranoid about germs and bacteria and I kept thinking "Why don't I carry around anti-bacterial hand soap?!" I will from now on. Anyway, after the bird incident I was walking back and saw Matt, Jeremy, Jacob, and Kelly so I waited with them rather than walk farther back in line to Vicki and Shannon. I'm lazy. Once we got in, things moved really slow. In between bands they played this recording of a Something Corporate concert which was driving me insane because I don't like them nearly as much as I used to and they played the same tape like 3 times. Not much else to say other than Claudio is my love. One of the girls that was with us turned to me when he started talking and was like "Did he ever hit puberty??" That made me laugh. Oh yeah and Fuse was there recording the whole thing. There's also gonna be a CD of the show, I must buy it.

Yesterday morning I woke up, went to practice...you know the drill. Afterwards Nurrie and Colleen came over and then we went to lifeguard training. We all got burned which sucks but hopefully it will turn into a tan. Then we went to Nurrie's house/"Chinese pig out." We stayed up late sewing skirts and funk ninja headbands and making good luck cards for Auburn boys. I know, I know, we are suck BAs.
Because Adam goes to wild parties and has trouble getting to lifeguard training on time, we had to finish the scenarios today. I was nervous at first because everyone gets in the pool and you don't know who's gonna drown. I mean I knew I wouldn't fail but in the back of my head there was that worry (like the permit test) that if you fail you'll look like a complete idiot. I passed though. Woo.
I went out to eat lunch afterwards with my mom and sister then came home, showered, and went shopping. I got a skirt, some shorts, and 2 shorts. I was so tired though I just wanted to go home. But after that I went to the Arboretumn with the usual six! That was fun. I got some jeans from express for $21. That's so cheap for express so I was very happy. I also got Five Stories Falling by Thursday and a villiage people card ;) Good times. There was this two year old who would come up to us and ask to be picked up and would scream and cry when his mom tried to take him away. It was cute...but kinda weird.
Tomorrow=Coheed! I cannot wait!
Spring break is so awesome.

I just finished watching Dogma. I think that's one of those movies where people say "Hey, have you seen Dogma?" and I reply "No." and they say "WHAT?!" like it's the Bible of the cinematic world. Haha no religious pun intended. Alright, I'll get on with my story before this gets too obnoxiously cheesy. The basic plot (or what I understood of it) was that this one chick, who was the great great great great great great great (etc) niece of Jesus, had to keep two "fallen angels" from entering this church otherwise it meant the end of the world. My main problem with the movie was the casting. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as angels? I'm sorry but watching Ben Affleck fly through the air with massive wings throwing civilians to their death is just awkward. And Alanis Morrisette as God? Even more awkward. Alan Rickman however, played an awesome role as the voice of God. All in all, it was a decent movie. Funny at times, courtesy of Jay and Silent Bob mostly...but Ben Affleck really ruined it for me.
That certainly was longer than intended...

PS- On a completley unrelated note...It is stormy outside. Why doesn't it ever storm when we have practice? Alanis if you are God, please schedule all thunderstorms between 5 and 7 PM Monday through Friday as well as 7-9 on Saturday mornings. Thank you.

Nurrie and me=best professional rescuers ever. However, according to this one girl (who I might add wears an aquablade...) we are "like so annoying." Do we honestly need lifeguard class drama?
After that my mom needed to stop at HEB. She's the slowest shopper ever.
Right now it really feels like summer. Wet, unbrushed, chlorinated hair...soffees...t shirt...sunshine. I cannot wait until summer. *sigh* Going back to school is really gonna blow.

I woke around 6:30, went to practice, came home around 8. Of course, on one of the days I have to get out early we get out after 45 minutes and eat donuts/watch a motivational movie about the Lady Volunteer's basketball team.
On the way to this lifeguarding class I'm taking Jet's new song (I forget the title) came on. The dj at the time said "yeah with bands like Jet and The Darkness, metal is so making a comeback." Jet? Metal? Seriously...
9-3 was spent with some very awkward individuals teaching me CPR and such. But when I say awkward, I mean it. We were answering true/false questions and the blonde guy would go "That is SO true!" You know what, I'm not even going to get into his extreme awkwardness because it was just weird. Oh yes and Konrad is taking the same class. When we were discussing how to tell if a baby is unconcious (you tap its foot) he said "but what if your baby doesn't have feet?" Jackie and Jenna...it made me realize how much I miss theatre last year....

Today all the teachers were saying "have a good spring break!" because we won't see them until after it but it was only Thursday meaning we have one more day until spring break. Why do teachers torment us like that??
over spring break I am...
-taking lifeguarding classes so I can get certified
-hanging out with the usual six since I feel like I never see them
-Coheed concert (hopefully)
-making skirts/purses that will rock with Nurrie and Colleen
...and that's it so far.
I started making a list of "things that are awkward" because I truely enjoy making lists. It's rather fun. Or "tis cool" as  cloverz58, or Holly Adair, would say. Reading her journal makes me laugh. And not with her...
I think it's kinda bad that I don't feel remotely guilty for skipping practice for no reason

Coheed and Cambria, Sparta, and Motion City Soundtrack are doing a free concert at La Zona Rosa on 3/19. And Davey Havoc developed a cyst on his vocal chords...which I know isn't a good thing but I find it kinda funny.
Tomorrow I have to wake up at like 6. Blah. I'm really not looking forward to it. And I know, it's not that early for a swimmer but the fact I actually have to get ready for school incredibly early and then have an hour to do nothing before school starts just irks me. I really should stop complaining...
Practice was fun. We did lots of interesting 50s kick as well as 12 minutes of continuous relays. And Wednesday=ultimate frisbee. At least swimming wise the week before spring break will rock.
I completely BSed my outside reading test on Jane Eyre and I think I did pretty damn good actually. We'll see, I'd hate to jinx myself...
