as promised, a show update! it was so cool. i got pics of every band except for the ataris, because my camera died. *sad panda* yes, i know. but oh well.
damone was the opener. they only played for like, 20 minutes, and it sucked. the bassist spit out beer at the front row (including me). it was nasty. so then, further seems forever came on. they were AMAZING. jason was screaming and shit, and leaning into the crowd. all these little emo boys were getting into it. it was so precious. after fsf, juliana theory came on. it was like... whoa. just whoa. i got some awesome shots of them, and i was about to like... cry. when they played the last song. i think i did, actually. it was really... pretty, and flowy, and i'm thinking of seeing them when they come to town with evanesence (JUST for them, i hate evanesence).
and then... the ataris. they just blew me away. there were no barricades, and me and julia were right at the front, RIGHT by the bassist. my legs were like pressing against the stage, it was SO awesome. they opened with "i.o.u. one galaxy" (i think that's the name), and it was the cutest song ever! then right after they played "in this diary," the bassist looked at me and held out his pick, and was like, "want it?" and i took it! but some bitch in a thursday shirt and a judas priest belt (a rather odd combination, if you ask me. what's up with all these emo kids wearing judas priest belts?) tried to take it. but i pushed her out of the way. haha, bitch behave!
when they played "song 13," kris roe went fucking psycho. i mean... knocked over a roadie, dove with his guitar into the audience, threw his guitar down, smashed a mic stand around, rolled around on the stage, and the lights went FULL-OUT black. it was awesome. then, they pulled some really crazy kid from the audience to play "san dimas highschool football rules" with them (that was their closing song). the crowd, including myself and julia, went completely crazy. there was confetti everywhere, kids were overrunning security on stage, it was just awesome. and i came home and crashed.
so all in all, it was cool. in other news...
i'm making a list of reasons why the human race pisses me off more and more each day. it shall be posted soon, along with the pics from the show. what can i say, i'm lazy.
