8:40PM

No matter where you go, you can't run away to escape your problems. Your only hope is to solve them, deal with them, or come to grips with with them. Our problems have a sick way of following us, of finding us, no matter wherewe hide from them. Hurt, unless otherwise resolved, will stay inside and resurface at the most unexpected times, when something you can relate to reminds you of it. If you want things to get better you can try packing up and running away, but at the end of the day they will still be there, at home, waiting for you.
~written by me on the back of a receipt on the way back from Providence on 6/30/07.

I went to RI to get away.
But on the way home things made themselves so evident that no matter who we are, where we go, and what we do, problems will always follow us.
We're never the only ones sufferring something, there are always more people who know how you're feeling - some are in deeper, others are just getting there. Some have made it through and can help guide you while you work your way out of whatever problem you're having, while still others may be at the exact same point as you, a support system of sorts.
People come in and out of your life and with each comes a lesson or something learned along the way. You learn lessons of trust, disappointment, heartbreak, happiness, mistrust, friendship, rivalry, excitement, love, depression, pride, and those are only to name a few. And with each lesson you remember different people along the path of life who were there as you learned and grew.
Sometimes you just have to accpet life and the way things are.
Sometimes you just have to learn to roll with the punches life throws at us.
When we fall we need to get back up and keep going.
We can't let anything defeat us or everything, in the long run, will.

This is life, this is a test, this is a permanent school, and unless we stop living it, we're stuck here and with every step we take we grow and learn and hurt and smile.
It's all in the way you deal with it that makes or breaks you.
The only thing that matters is that you make it out alive.. while you still can.
