Just a note that the kid is both a) a freshman and b) from singapore. Thus, he may not be well-versed (but perhaps thinks he is) in the culturally established protocol that goes along with emailing professors or anybody, and in just the general english language.
Also, it was not a prank.
But still. lol.
Also, Professor Reinhardt was on Oprah today. My mom told me. So I emailed her that email.
