So life has been getting a little better here. I remember years past and knowing that everything seemed better when I was stressed out. i never had any time to think, to ponder the past/present/future. School has kicked into high gear so I haven't had much time to be like "hey I hate my life!" recently so that's a good thing!
Other than my bread getting moldy, I still have food left to keep me sane. Yesterday was a terrible day though...
Anyway.
I've found the joy that is listening to my itunes with my headphones hooked up. I find myself rocking out silently to disney songs without shame. It makes me feel better. It's nice to be in a single for this reason. I also don't have to change in the bathroom. I also can sit here waist-high in trash and be okay with that.
I downloaded about 20 bucks worth of music (yes, I'm legal about that) that I love. Veggietales rock songs, some weird al parodies, great hip hop/pop tracks, music from Candide the musical (pangloss anyone!?) that reminds me of band, an AMAZING song called "Julianne," Imogen Heap, KT Tunstall, and more. The free music that itunes gave out is actually good too, I realized. i forgot how much music makes me happy, haha.
I got really varied responses from my teachers when I sent them their emails. It was actually pretty funny; from concerned and sorry to laughter and amusement to being happy for me. you can totally tell the teachers that understand my mixture of sarcasm and realism and the ones who don't. lol.
I wish people read this still, haha. I can't exactly post this stuff on facebook.
I really really really really miss my car. And driving at night and listening to my ipod and singing at the top of my lungs. I miss harmonizing to everything!
I miss people too. that's a given though.
4 hours of music rehearsal on mondays is death (wind ensemble then sinfonia).
between WE and Sinfonia for the 15 minutes I found a piano practice room and did some free composing stuff. It was good. Because it was on a steinway. (it was a bit out of tune though. pet peeve. tuning. ugh.)
Okay, no one might actually understand this: Anyone know the commercial for the credit card that features like a bunch of workers doing stuff with boxes with the orchestra music in the background that's kind of fast, happy, and has clarinet high notes? We're doing that in sinfonia.
By the way, anyone who has played with strings on a clarinet knows you need an A clarinet. Me and another girl don't have A clarinets so we PULL OUT FROM EVERY JOINT POSSIBLE and it TOTALLY WORKS save for some notes not coming out at all and the instrument's intonation being out of whack with itself. I'd rather get me some A clarinet.
So if anyone visits me or I visit them I have to show you all this thing that took me days to code. I was sitting in my chair for 9 hours working on the same thing yesterday. Ridic! Anyway, it's a simulation of some of the solar system that actually takes G forces into account, which really sucked in terms of coding. At one point my earth was swallowed by the sun then spit out into the netheregions of the universe. Not good. But I think I got it! I was so happy. And i've got music in the background too. Oh java. You are so hard yet good.
Math is alright. There are a lot of new things to memorize. I got a 3 out of 6 on my first quiz :). Who cares. It's not like anyone in the class knows what they are doing either, really. I'm finding my teacher really hilarious suddenly. He says the most random things. Formulas are beautiful and we are happy. He's completely serious.
I skipped my phi lecture today because of probs yesterday. It was a good idea.
Philosophy is so weird.
Spanish is suddenly SO MUCH WORK I GON' DIE.
First clarinet lessons with Jo-Anne Sternberg tomorrow. (haha I just realized her name is Jo)
But Joe has my heart.
I need to email himmmmm...
Jess and Eric might come down AGAIN this weekend Yay.
Last weekend's road trip to columbia (not in ohio) was SO MUCH FUN! check out my facebook for pics. I love band.
DUDE! 4 weeks until fall break. Come soooner!
