My impression of the first day. Prepare for unhappiness. [13 Sep 2004|06:22pm]
Today was first day of school. I looked pretty decent. The only problem was that the hot curler action in my hair died during homeroom. Or maybe even on the bus ride.

I never got a bus pass this year, so me (and the other peeps at my bus stop) ended up waiting 10 minutes longer than usual. Busload sucks as usual. The thought of riding to and fro' school with these people is the impetus for my learning how to drive.

Homeroom - extended for a BILLION years (hour and a half). GOOD THING: Allie is in my homeroom. ANOTHER GOOD THING: locker to MAHSELF. However homeroom on the first day is possibly the worst thing ever invented.

1st period - ENGLISH. Alright, this class doesn't suck. Sue Barry seems awesome. English teachers are always awesome until we start doing stuff. Then the awesomeness of the English teacher is overshadowed by the overwhelming suckiness of English itself, for me. People I know are in this class.

2nd period - WEB DEVELOPMENT - I'm not sure if this class'll be good or bad. I only really know Jess, but she's switching out. We ate crunchy M and Ms and talked about our summers. The room was extremely hot for a computer room. I wanted to play solitaire. Petruzzi = nice so far.

3rd period - SPANISH - And I typed Snapish, which will be the name for the new language I'll never create. Barnes talked in spanish the whole time, like the first day last year. It didn't scare me as much as last year because I'm living with the hope that she's just trying to make people drop. I understood what she was saying most of the time (except of course when I zone out, which you can do in every other class except spanish). It seems so empty without Kevinci, which makes me sad and nostalgic (S and N moment number 1 today).

4th period - HISTORY - Hoerst. I don't know. Seems nice. Doesn't seem like the type that will make history fun for me. I know a few people in this class but the rest of the class is so NOT the people I have ever had classes with (which is most of my classes this year). We had to wrap yarn around our fingers and everyone has heard this story. My hypothesis for this class includes me hating it.

5th period - LUNCH - It would be okay if we had seats and stuff. Last year's first few days of lunch were kind of crazy but it settled down. I hope that happens again this year. I shared a seat (butt) with Kevin. I miss last year's lunch table (S and N #2).

6th period - BAND - We did stuff, and that made me real happy. Tomlin said I could challenge SOON (I asked him). New people were there. I miss old people.

first day continued [13 Sep 2004|07:59pm]
[ mood | cranky ]

By the way, Band provided S and N moment #3

7th period PRE CALC - I sat next to Vince Giunta, who is in my homeroom, who thought I was a sophomore. There are sophomores in this class which makes me really sad and angry. Not the fact that they CAN double up and we couldn't, but the fact that THEY ARE IN THERE! Seeman seems nice. I hate women teachers because they are hard to read initially.

8th period GYM - okay. People I know are in it. 4th period health. yeah.

9th period CHEMISTRY - right so our book looks like Kindergarten compared to last year's bio book. I seriously was thinking about AP Bio for about 3 periods. My bio class last year = S + N #4. I really really really missed it for some reason.

I am going to be going to the guidance counselor soon.

Soccer - Overbrook was a walk in the park, almost literally. I danced on the field. I am really sad that I'm not played as much as most other people. I'm really not a horrible player. 6-0 was our win. I exerted more energy walking in school today than in-game.

I'm really really crazy-confused about which science course I want to take.

I hate school, and I hate the stress that I already have (chemistry homework). Soccer was a relief today. WHY?

However, I'm going to try and put more effort into it this year than last year (and last year I studied for open book tests) and hope everything turns out nicely.
