It has been almost the entire summer. This is my progress so far on the Hindemith Sonata, which as one must realize I have been calling "Sonate" for it is German. It is the solo with which I am auditioning for All South Jersey Band. Other people are as well. So only they know what I am talking about.
First Movement - Almost perfect. Has transitional errors, like from high Bb to the 5th-line D. Needs more dynamic contrast
Second Movement - Almost up to speed and without error. Eighth note runs ALMOST there. Some I mix up because they are similar. The 16th notes are sometimes rushed and sloppy. Articulation on triplets is slightly sloppy. Dynamic contrast is almost there.
Third Movement - Needs work. Needs to be played on a steady metronome. Only some dynamic contrast.
Fourth Movement - Almost up to speed. Still needs a lot of work because I've only played it a few times, but most of the notes are there. Work on articulating everything better. And dynamic contrast is much needed.
I say I'm 75% finished.

Today I side-swiped my bangs. I originally had it in a half-ponytail so I took it down. Tell me if you like it or not, as I need a new style and I don't know whether to keep growing my bangs, cut them short again, or keep them around this length. Ignore my frizzy hair because it was just in a crap ponytail (and wet). Also ignore my face. I know, it kinda defeats the purpose.
