8:47 pm - Talkin' 'bout those bad girls...(Isn't that from a song?)
Oh boy am I going to be a bad girl. I'm going to postpone my art history paper and history take home test 'til Monday. *LOL* Feels so good to be bad. Procrastination gets me through the day.

Especially with Finals coming up - it's crazy crazy crunch time. I get to sleep in tomorrow til 7am!! YEAHH (there was much rejoicing in Christina's mind). Feels sinful to sleep in so late and put of homework. Oh glorious, for happiness, I ge-ee-eet mooo---ore sleep (to the tune of America the Beautiful). Anyway, now that you guys know I have officially dropped off the deep end, that's it. Have to type my German paper now. Bye for now.

6:32 pm - Easter
I am nineteen years old. And yet I still received an easter basket. Odd, yet with decidedly wonderful perks. ONE: candy! TWO: it came with a fluffy bunny - irresistable (I'm one of those people who still cannot walk down the stuffed animal aisle at Toys R Us). Today wasn't so bad considering I had to work (Figured it out - the man's JEWISH so he doesn't celebrate Christian holidays (der) - we are open 365 days a year!!!). Crazy. Anyway, wish everyone a Happy Easter. Love to all.

3:20 pm - What the Hell?!!!!
So wrong. The man has me scheduled to work Easter Sunday. And I have to b/c I didn't put in for that day. I kind of thought that was freakin' obvious!! What the hell kind of restaurant or store is open on Easter Sunday to begin with for crying out loud??? The insanity??? VERY UPSET B/C I'M STUCK WITH IT.

4:21 pm - One Sick to Another
UGHHH! Get over one sick and get into another. ACK! I can't handle being sick any longer. Really I'm not sick it's just a constant feeling of nausea whenever movement occurs. And I have to dissect the rat further tomorrow. Uh, could be a problem there, ya know.

So I'm sitting around watching a lot of TV b/c I can't move and my eyes hurt from reading the 400 pg Eragon in one sitting. So bored. And I'm thinking that I have to make up my history test now (which I don't really want to have to do) and that I actually did my homework (which was a waste). And if I feel better tomorrow I plan on going to the movies (so many I want to see). Yeah. Sucks.

Hope everyone's having a much better day than I'm having. Boredom. Yawn. About to fall asleep from boredom. Talk Later.

9:00 pm - Just Kidding
That quiz I said I did really badly on - I got an A. I don't know how, but I got an A. And then I flew through my German test, and was home in under 30 minutes today (meaning I was really speeding today b/c it usually takes me at least 35). So yeah, today was a great day.

And I don't have to work tomorrow meaning I get an actual weekend (not that I have anything to do...).

Anyway, saw Gothika and Something's Gotta Give today. Gothika was really good (freakiest part was where Halle Berry's standing in front of the mirror and the movie dudes start morphing from her standing there to the dead blonde chic and back and forth. It'll give you nightmares about sinister, vengeful, dead people possessing your body).

And I have a quote from Something's Gotta Give (hilarious - "Good. Because I gave you nitro-glyceride and if you'd taken Viagra, the combination could be fatal" - at which point Jack Nicholson rips the IV out of his arm). Great. Oh, yeah, the quote:

"What can I do with this? It's an empty water glass. What choices are there?"

~Erica Berry (ie Diane Keaton) mimicking the blonde chic

5:31 pm - School Is Hacking Me To Pieces

Okay, got that over with. Anyway, school is sending me into overdrive. I have an art history test tomorrow and have GOT to go study. We had a slide quiz Wednesday and (I didn't fail) but it was not up to par with my normal standards of course (meaning it wasn't a B+ or higher). I'm really trying to get all As but my art history teacher hates me. Okay, so he really doesn't hate me, but damn his class is hard. Like I had As on the first slide quiz and test and now it's crazy b/c we're covering everything from the High Ren. to the Baroque and it's just way too much material (try like 300 pages worth). Anyway, I must go and punish myself with art history crap now.

And anthropology. And German. And every other subject. Sigh.

How many more years of school did I sign up for????

*Sniffle...sniffle...honk* Okay, maybe the honk was a bit much. Anyway, the point is imisasick (for those of you who don't speak congestion that's I'm sick)

And James, I would be honored to be a member of your friend list. I added you to mine. :)

Anyway, we dissected Sally the rat in lab today (so sad). Poor little white rats. But it was really neat once we coerced the other girl to slice her open. I like dissecting, but not the mutilating of the poor dead lil critter's body. :(

And unfortunately that's all I have to add after several days of til then b/c I have an awful art history slide quiz to study for - everything from High Renaissance to the Baroque (grimaces in physical pain).

5:24 pm - Livin' The Life
I've got a quote!!!!

"It's the burn baby burn of things."
~Prof. Jordan in response to those Russkies (can you tell who my fave person to quote is? :)

Anyway, Stacey's having a sleepover for her birthday and I'm finally gonna meet this kid who's scary as hell in that she's s'posed to be a lot like me. *Sigh*

On a good note, I ACED my anthropology test which I was stressing over, and got an A (okay technically the lowest possible A) on my Art History paper. That man is PICKY!!!! PICKY!!!! I mean, my gosh, picky. School's good. Works on delay till later, and I have nothing to do today.

I think I'm going to go outside and put on sunscreen (yep it's that time again) and get "down and dirty" with my dogs (not meaning that you idiots, but meaning that while I play tug-o-war with the bozos they'll probably drag me through the dirt). Then maybe on to some homework stuff (I have to punish myself with Art History notes from the book - my least favorite thing of all to do).

But guess what? After May 3rd, I believe that's my last final, I'm free. *Song notes* Free as the wind... *End Song Notes* And I'm REALLY regretting and am sorry that I didn't get together with Gail this break (AGAIN!!! How did I let this happen????!!!!) I love you Gail. I DO want to see you sometime. Poor Gail and me. Hmmm... me, BG and Gail ought to post our top five regrets on these blurties to make things interesting. Maybe. But that'll have to wait til tomorrow.

So bye for now. I miss all you guyses. :(

8:00 pm - A Day of Rest
Hello, hello, hello, and off to freedom we go. A whole day of nothing but bliss and no school.... Oh yeah oh yeah. Oh yeah oh yeah.

Okay enough with the singing song of today.

But yes, tomorrow is my day of rest (I have work, but it's still a day of rest b/c I don't have to be there til 11:30 WAHOOOO!!!). Anyway, I so agree with you Beth about mythology. I love mythology. I'm probably going to name my animals neat little mythological names (mythology is also a great biproduct of taking art history) like Argos (okay, so it's a ship not a person) and Charon (the guy that paddles the boat to Hades). Yep yep. Good stuff.

Anyway, I learned how to change my oil (ALL BY MYSELF)!!!! I was so proud!! My dad made fun of me for being a girly girl about getting oil all over myself. LOL. Anyway, it's actually kind of fun figuring out how stuff works and stuffs. Never thought working on cars would be so much fun (and all I did was an oil change). I'm going to learn how to do lots of minor car repairs stuff (currently I can work a jack, change my oil, fill up my fluids (LOL), put in spark plugs, change my air filter, and change a tire (but not on my car - just my sister's). A good start. So much more to learn. ECSTATIC!!! I never thought I'd be interested, but hey, why not?

Quotes for the Day:

"It was a great bit of duping."
~Prof. Jordan about a treaty implemented by Prussia to trick France and unite the German peoples (really, diplomacy and politics is pretty interesting - Bismarck was quite intelligent)

Applicable to many situations.

"He was basically a brilliant pig."
~Prof. Kowal about Michelangelo

Did you know he didn't take baths???!!! EWWWW. You know he stunk. But hey, when you're that brilliant....

Anyway, I need to go do some Biology homework and start studying for Anthropology about Australopithecenes, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Neandertals and Modern Homo Sapiens. Sigh. NOT that interesting. Oh well. To modify a quote - "Into each life a little boredom must fall."

So, till later. MCP

An interesting little quote courtesy of History 102 (some great quotes in that class) and I forgot to post it Monday, so here we go. Still my current quote:

"Next time, you save your own chestnuts."

12:52 pm - The Boredom of Living in Summerville
YAWWWWN! Tired. Just want to float away and nap on a cloud. Such bliss. :)

Anyway, so boring where I am. School, school, school, a little bit of work thrown in (I'm saving money right now, so even getting paid is quite boring... Sigh).

I dissected a sea star today! I felt sad for the sea star though, because it was so pretty. And then we lobbed off three of its limbs to see its insides. Rats next week (ought to be interesting). Then we're supposed to be doing a sheep's brain and eyeball. And there is no way in hell I'm going to cut the sheep's eyeball up to dissect it. Ain't happenin'!! Brains, guts, gore, great. Eyeballs, hell no, no go.

9:18 pm - Me Smell Good
No, I'm not crazy. It's just that I was at work and smelled like grease (of course - you work with mammoth size grease fryers). So, I just had my bubblebath! Smell good.

And yes Beth, you can post as many comments as you'd like.

So, lazed around this morning after working till eleven last night. Bliss. Beautiful bliss. Until the cat bit my nose and told me to wake up b/c after nine it's his turn to have the pillow. And of course reality checked in for the day - more work. But it was fun (I like working with the peoples I worked with today). But we were SOOO busy! I was supposed to get out at 5, but didn't get to leave until 6 b/c we didn't have any sliced or diced tomatoes, no tuna salad, no egg salad, no diced onions, and we hadn't pulled breads so we didn't have any of those either. But it was all good in the end (and it was penance for Thursday night when I was twenty-something minutes late (cough)). So, all is good. Just very tiring. Time to get some energy pills! LOL Just kidding. Not that bad.

And of course, I should be doing some homework right now (which I'm procrastinating on, of course). A paper (history - UGH). It's about the trial of Oscar Wilde. How much more boring can it get??? *Sigh of resignation* But this'll be the last history I have to take (MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!). And I'm seriously considering not double majoring just so I don't have to take any more math. *Sheepishly admits*

Anyway, enough for today.

11:45 am - The Art of Dissection
In lab today I successfully dissected an earthworm (Did you know they can get up to THREE METERS long in Australia???!! - Gail'd better be careful when she visits in 2010), a crayfish/crawdid/whatever-you-want-to-call-it, a HUMONGOUS (and disgusting - they don't really have organ systems so they're pretty juicy...) grasshopper, AANNDD a oyster-lookin' thing. Pretty neato. I think the earthworm turned out to be the best. Bob (the crayfish) wasn't so good b/c I think we thought some of those organs were part of the gills and just kind of, well, whacked 'em off so we could see what was underneath. But it was actually okay. Neato.

So far this year I've learned that any organ that looks greenish on the inside is some sort of stomach/gut thing, that all reproductive organs have a "stringy, fibrous" kind of look, and that crickets' bodies/body parts still move when you decapitate them b/c of the ganglion that runs throughout their entire body (they don't really have a brain - which I didn't know). But yeah, the moving, dismembered cricket bodies were disturbing (and sickening).

It's been raining all day.... Sigh. Such boredom (the one day I have the opportunity to go outside). Oh well, have to go get my tires done. Rotate, balance, align. Yep, good stuff.
