Major News 2: Geoff and I are engaged! Woo! We got engaged about a month ago. It's nice and fun, but also scary. Sorry again for neglecting y'all...a month ago, everything changed. I got engaged, I got a part in a movie...and I feel different. I feel cranky about some things, but happy about others.

We don't know when we're getting married. We'd love to get married now, only neither of us have full-time jobs, so we can't pay rent anywhere. Hopefully we'll get hitched in the next 18 months. I want a really relaxed wedding...I saw a white cotton dress that I liked in Target, only Geoff was appalled: "At least buy it from Myer!" Personally, I'd rather spend my time and money on helping people and charity, rather than planning a big ol' wedding. But who knows- maybe I'll become a psycho bride before you know it! Anyway, I really do believe that marriage should be about marriage, and not a wedding. I am thrilled that I have a boyfriend (can't get used to saying "fiance") who is so sweet, kind, generous, Jesus-focussed and cute. And that's what a wedding really should be about.

This week, I have been swimming SO MUCH. My skin has turned a cafe latte colour. I have to be a good swimmer for my movie role. A week ago, I was so stressed about my swimming that I left work early and hit the pool. It was a freezing day, but the pool was warm. I realised that I could swim, and I felt better. I walked past the park, and there were a bunch of people my age having a barbeque. I felt wistful.

Okay peeps, must dash...I'm heading to Canberra! Of all places! I am pretending that I am going on a groovy road trip, but let's not kid ourselves: Australia's capital city is known for being boring. Let's hope this trip changes my mind...I am open to persuasion.
