STARDOM...if I can just get faster!
I am sorry I have been missing! To offer you a vague excuse: when it rains, it pours, and before I know it, my poor blog has been neglected! To offer a slightly clearer explanation: perhaps I am more of a Luddite than I thought. When I have big news, I prefer to tell my friends either face to face, over the phone or over email (in that order). But then again, I know I have many wonderful and mysterious blog readers out there who I have never even met before. So I guess that eventually, you gotta blab it on yer blog, girl. I mean, if Pamela Anderson feels comfortable about revealing her divorce plans on her blog, surely I can feel comfortable with revealing my own news on my site?
I have heaps and heaps and heaps of news, but I think I will reveal bits over different posts. There are still people I haven't told face to face, who would be hurt to find out via my blog. Ah, modern etiquette...so damn complex! I mean, what about people who would get offended if I don't write about it on my blog? And what if no-one really cares that much, and I'm just overthinking everything? Argh! But anyway, techi etti (ie. technology-related etiquette) aside, these past 3 weeks have been the most exciting weeks of my year so far. A lot of this year has been all trudge, trudge, trudge, so I am so grateful when God gives me a little rainbow every now and then (both figuratively and literally).
Okay, so News Number 1: I, Carla Gypsygirl, have a role in a REAL MOVIE! This is the same movie I wrote about auditioning for a few posts ago. It is all very, very exciting. It has been my dream since I was a little tot to be an actress, and I feel so blessed that this role has just fallen into my lap (via a very kind casting agent with an elephant-like memory, an adorably hyperactive director, my regular agent and of course, God). I would write more about what the film is, but you might have to wait until it is released (probably at the end of next year). As you know, I do not fancy being sued for revealing confidential stuff. Anyway, what I CAN say is that I had my first rehearsal today, and it was really bad because I am not athletic. Poo. And also, I took a taxi to the rehearsal today (which is a HUGE luxury for me), just so that no-one would think that I am fond of Lindsay Lohan-style lateness.
