An Interview with a Pseudo-Vampire Hello, readers! Well, it has been a long time since I have updated my blog away from the Spacegirl Princess Carla Headquarters, but here I am tonight at Casa Geoff. I always want to update at work, but I am still scared that work people are spying on me. Paranoid? Mmmmm, maybe.
Anyway, I was going to write about how I thought Town Hall was going to get bombed as I powerwalked from the station early one morning, and about how this lady told me that I had fat thighs (they ain't fat- they're Carla-shaped!). BUT, as I am writing today in the company of a very special man, I thought I would have an interview with him. I've always wanted to interview someone for my blog! Hurrah! I am now a hard-hitting journo, in the style of Jana Wendt...okay, maybe not...maybe more Bridget Jones...
Carla: Hello, Geoff! Geoff: Hello. Carla: How would you define your relationship with Carla? Geoff: Ah...intense and wonderful. Carla: Aawww! I mean, what would you call me? Geoff: Ah...intense and wonderful? Um...I'd call you vibrant and intriguing. Carla: Oh, that's sweet! No, I mean, um, would you call me your girlfriend or something? Geoff: That's a good question. I suppose I would, seeing as we're not married. Carla: When you talk about me to your friends, do you call me "my girlfriend" or "Carla"? Geoff: Ah, "Carla". Carla: But you do call me your girlfriend, right? Geoff: Yes, but second. A lot of my friends already know that you're my girlfriend. Carla: Well, it has been a year. I should say almost. How would you describe the first time we met? Geoff: The first time we met? Um, very interesting. I suppose there was a long half-hour sermon in between. But we spoke for quite awhile. I thought it was quite special. It's not every day you get to meet a beautiful, interesting woman. Carla: Ooooh! Ooooh! Hmmm...what are you doing right now? Geoff: Ah, speaking to you as you interview me, and watching my television on mute. Carla: What have you been up to this year? Geoff: I've been continuing my arts degree, and I've been working at St Stephen's as a youth minister, predominantly. And hanging out with you, of course. Carla: If you could be a lolly, what lolly would you be? Geoff: Hmmm, good question. I would be...a jawbreaker. Carla: (laughs) Geoff: Because they're tough, and they're worth their while going through. Carla: And they have multi-colours inside. Geoff: That is true. Carla: Um...what has been the most interesting thing you have bought this week? Geoff: I bought my mum two "Red Dwarf" DVDs for her birthday. Carla: What is your opinion on Kate winning "Australian Idol" this year? Geoff: Well, to be honest, I didn't watch "Idol" terribly closely. But I do believe Emily should have been the one to win, from the few excerpts I saw. But I must admit that I wasn't too impressed by the candidates. But I am happy for Kate winning, because she tried so many times. Even if she does have big arms. Carla: (appalled intake of breath) That's a really mean thing to say. Geoff: You can cut that out if you want. Carla: No, it's already there. Geoff: Damn. Carla: What do you think about the views of that lady who said that I have fat thighs? Geoff: (laughs) Um, I think she has no idea about thighs. Carla: Well, you haven't really seen my thighs before. Geoff: No, I haven't. But I don't think they're fat, regardless. Carla: What message would you like to impart to my readers tonight? Hang on, I have to finish typing the question. Geoff: Firstly, it is a pleasure to be interviewed by Carla, on this fine blog (which is far finer than mine). Oh, I suppose the message that I would like to impart to all readers and to all people is that Jesus is the Lord of my life. And Carla's, too. And that He has died for us. And perhaps through this message, you will consider what Jesus has done for us through his death on the cross. Is that coherent or not? Carla: Yes, and it was very brave. Thank you very much for this interview. Geoff: A pleasure, as always.
Well, there you go, readers- an interview with my fine man. He was joking about Kate's arms. Sorry about that. I love him! I think that it is important for us all to interview our friends and family, instead of reading celebrity interviews. I wish my friends could be on the covers of magazines sometimes...not because they are beautiful, but because they are interesting and kind.
ps. Thanks Geoff, for letting me use your lovely iBook...and for not being cranky that I'm not watching Rage with you! |
