Fluffy is good
Is this how you feel in the mornings? Curious, and as though you are peeking sleepily at many beautiful things? I wish that I did. I just usually want tea and strawberry jam. Mornings are disorienting times for Carla Gypsygirl. I do like them when I’m awake enough. But seriously, at the moment, I feel like I’m looking ahead at lovely things. My life is actually somewhat stable at the moment! No way? Way! Yes, there are no scary boys on the scene, no yucky jobs (just several wonderful ones), no-one making me cry. Yay. God is really good!
Here are some things that are making me tick:
> Okay. Some days, when I'm not being a hippy, I’m totally tough rock chick girl, you know what I mean? Black t-shirts, lots of eyeliner, hi-top Cons that are looking more and more beaten up as the days wear on. But then, all of a sudden, the “I only listen to music that makes my ears ring” persona melts away to nothing when I discover this: that there are bunny rabbits at my work. Yes: BUNNY RABBITS! It’s been so exciting…we’ve had two cute little white rabbits at work this whole week. Before lunch, we sit the kids down in a circle, and we let them all have a little cuddle and pat. Though the cuddle and pat usually deteriorates to a poke and a squash. All accidental, of course. Anyway, then we watch the bunnies hop around a bit. Look, I’m so not a cutesy-wootesy-ickle-wickle-Hello-Kitty kinda girl, but…BUNNIES! BUNNIES ROCK! Their noses twitch and they have pink eyes and they really DO have little cotton tails!
> Doesn’t hot weather totally get you buzzing? Lately, it's been the sort of weather that you hope will go away just by saying, “Man, it is SO HOT!” Hey, I’ll take any excuse to eat more ice-cream! Plus, I got an early mark from work the other day!
> Taking photos. Yay. I was taking photos of myself to accompany an article I’ve written recently, and right at the end of the session, I decided to be a bit silly. That’s where the photograph above came from. I’ve actually got photos from that session where I look a lot nicer, but it’s nice to look a little weird sometimes, isn’t it? Man, I am so Cindy Sherman.
> You know, I know the nicest people in the world. I just love it when my friends take the time to e-mail me and write me cards and stuff. I feel totally loved and appreciated. God is so awesome to provide so many lovely people in my life.
And yay: it’s Friday night, which really is THE WEEKEND! All right!
