    Wanted: advice (maybe)
I went for a walk in the rain yesterday. I love walking in the rain- it's so peaceful and refreshing, and everything looks all clean. Everyone is staying indoors, so the streets are quiet. All of these really cool bugs come out, as well. Sonya had a dress-up party to go to last night, and she was going as a groupie from the 60's (like the Band-Aids in "Almost Famous"), and I was trying to find some flowers to put in her hair. I picked a frangipani from a tree, and it was so cool- there were all of these little yellow ladybeetles, hiding from the rain under the frangipani leaves. I also saw four snails. I love watching snails. They're so steady, slimey and complex. Oh, and today, after I went for a drive with my Dad, I went to take the L-plate off the front numberplate, and there was a red ladybeetle on the bumper-bar! I wonder if it was there for the whole ride? I let it crawl on my hand so that I could put it on a nice juicy leaf, but it flew away as I started to cross the street.

I bought some shimmery purple 8-hole Doc Marten's yesterday! They are very cool. A bit stiff at the moment, though. I also bought some purple shoe polish to go with it. I didn't know that purple shoe polish existed.

You know what? Having three jobs (the one at my old uni, the one at Myer and my design and illustration business) is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have worked non-stop since last Monday, and I'm feeling pretty frazzled at the moment. And exhausted. Russell picked me up for church today (he is so special), and I didn't really have anything positive to say in the car. Oh, and last night, I went to Russell's place to watch some videos. I caught the end of a melancholy and whimsical Finnish film (I typed "RUSS ROCKS! SPACEGIRL CARLA 4 PREZ!" into Russ' phone for a welcome message while I was supposed to be watching), as well as the first bit of "Meet the Parents". I think that Ben Stiller is really cool- I like how he plays those awkward, sweet characters. Anyway, Russell's ex-girlfriend Sarah was there (she goes to church with us as well, and is so nice!), and in the style of Elle Woods (though Sarah claims she started it), she brought along her dog Puzzle. I don't know anything about dogs, so I can't tell you what type it was. It was just small and furry and white and psycho. That dog hated me! It hated no-one else but me! It even tried to bite my leg! It failed, though, because I felt my leg and all I felt was dog slobber. Everytime I went to do anything, it would come tearing towards me, barking like crazy. And let me tell you, I didn't want it ripping my black tights! I was so scared of it, and kept screaming! Apparently Puzzle doesn't like people who make big gestures with their hands when they speak. Russell was being very sweet, though. He lifted me out of the way when Puzzle was biting me. Total hero material, I say!
