    Time Event
    9:41p
"well, my favourite subjects are drama and art, and i'm the top of 2 unit maths..."
My concentration span is looking pretty goldfishy at the moment. I was trying to write my presentation today, and I kept daydreaming. I think I looked out the window for about fifteen minutes at one time. Everything just looks so nice and green. I love daylight saving! Isn't it a funny name? Like, I think of people running out into meadows with old jam jars, trying to bottle up the sunshine, just so that they can walk around the streets a bit longer visiting their friends.

Anyway, sunshine and jam aside, my presentation is looking pretty hefty. Whenever I go to write something for uni, I always say to myself, "Okay, Carla, just keep it short, sharp and sweet. Keep to the point!" But somehow, I came out with seven thousand words, and I haven't even finished it yet. Sigh. These fingers of mine just keep writing and writing, and I can't stop. But I love writing. It'd be strange if I couldn't ever put my thoughts down on paper. I wonder what would happen if I didn't? Nothing, probably, except that I might forget a few lessons that I learnt, and I might forget about a few special days.

I have to say that I'll be glad once "Australian Idol" is over. We talk about that show way too much at home. It makes me feel like I ought to get out and see the ballet or an opera or something, and try reading Proust again. But hey, I've always been a bit of a sucker for pop culture. Tonight, I was wandering around the house whining "Pauliniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Pauliniiiiiiiiiiiii" in this injured voice. She was the best! Her voice was amazing! I haven't succumbed to actually voting, yet. My mum, dad, brother and sister weren't so lucky, though.

I bought this spunky new top the yesterday- it's one of those funny eighties ones. It's this white singlet with green polka dots on it, and it has this weird tight band on the bottom. It's the coolest thing! I love it! When I wear it with my pleated denim skirt, though, I look about seventeen. Maybe even fifteen. Or fourteen! Because I haven't been out of the house much (yes, "Love is Elementary", that's YOUR fault), I didn't realise that all of the coolest teenyboppers are skipping around in pleated denim skirts. Oops. Just don't ask me what year I'm in at school next year, okay? Just kidding- I love looking younger, really, I do.
