preparing to be m.i.a Well, if you're wondering why I won't be updating for a long time, this is why. Yesterday, I decided that yes, indeed, I was going to be brave and make a book for my major project. Which means that I have to create the majority of the images for the book in two-and-a-half weeks. Argh! And within that time, I have to prepare everything for print! Double argh! I am panicking and freaking out. I'm going to take the day off Grace Bros tomorrow, because I'm just so stressed out! I'm praying a lot that God will keep me sane, and get me through yet another design project. And that I will stay focussed on Him, as I'm sure everything else will be turned upside down in a flurry of drawing, painting, scanning and photographing in the next few weeks...
But there are a few yummy things around! > Watching the end of "Loser" last night, from the best bit (where Dora and Paul go out for the day without spending any money) forward. I have to admit that one of the main reasons I like "Loser" is because Mena Suvari's character has the best look- she's this feisty little all-black punk who wears lots of miniskirts and hooded jackets and lots of black eyeliner and has a funky old backpack! Plus the movie has such a sweet love story. > "Baghdad Blogger" is out! We had it at work today! I forget the name of the author, but isn't it cool how a blogger was made famous? It makes me feel silly to be writing about the nice parts of my own life instead of the political situation in Australia. But that's my own fault for not reading the papers anymore. > Seeing all the cute little girls out with their mums and dads at work today. Little girls have the best clothes. I saw this one little cutie-pie (she must have been four or something) wearing a white skivvy with a thick cotton pink dress over the top. The look was finished off nicely with pink woolly tights and black mary janes. Aaaah. > Finding out that my OTHER friend Rach is now engaged! > Singing tomorrow at church. > Angie Hart's voice...so inspirational. I love it when she says, "Even if you own your own comet" in Frente's song, "Ordinary Angels". > Timing dinner to co-incide with "Gilmore Girls"- oops, it's almost seven-thirty now! |
