honk if you love rainbows! I saw a rainbow yesterday! I was sitting in my room, trying to write a presentation for today, when I gazed out my window. There was a stunning rainbow arching through these bare branches. I leapt out of my room and shouted, "THERE'S A RAINBOW, EVERYBODY!" Only my littlest brother Zachary was interested. So we shoved our feet into our sneakers and ran outside to stare at it. The air was cold, and the road was black from the rain. Zachary asked me how many rainbows I'd seen in my life, and I couldn't remember. He said that he'd only seen two- the one that we saw that day, plus another one the week before. Then he said that maybe he'd seen three or five. So the older you get, the more rainbows you get to see in life. Isn't that wonderful? Usually whenever I see a rainbow, I forget about it a little while after. Because they just fade away. I made a conscious effort to remember the rainbow that I saw yesterday, and to tell people about it today. I think that we should all remember all the rainbows we've seen in our lives. Next time you see a rainbow, make sure you tell someone about it! |
